Thursday May 28th was a perfect day for Nana and Papa to come to Merced to visit us! It was not only the 1st grade presentation but also Carter's last Tball game for the season. Poor Aubrey got the flu the Wednesday before and we thought she might miss her show but a good night rest and sleeping in on Thursday morning she was ready for her bug/animal show by 2pm. They had worked very hard on this and sang lots of songs from the Lion King and The Jungle Book. Aubrey even had a speaking part that she did perfect on!! We were very proud of our girl and so happy that our family could join in the excitement.
As you have seen they have been wearing the shirts that that they made a month ago for any big event the last few weeks of school. Did you notice that almost every girl did a spider stamp in the middle with either a web up or down the middle of the shirt? That was Aubrey's idea and as you can see all the other little girls did it too. I love my little trend setter.
How all these first graders learned all the words and hand moments to every song just amazes me!!

After the presentation we went for a special treat at Starbucks and then back to the house to hang out.
