Trunk or Treat

Saturday night was our wards annual Trunk or Treat. It was fun this year since I had my parents and sister in town to be part of it. The kids had a blast and got SO much candy!!!
I love these pictures of the girls:
The colors are so beautiful.
Aubrey and Emily Best Friends!
Carter had a lot of fun. He got so dirty!! At one point he was trying to pick up candy off the floor and eating it.
Aubrey showing off her goods.
They had music playing and Carter was in heaven. It almost looks like he is doing a Michael Jackson move:
He loves to dance. What a fun day!!!! With all these Halloween celebrations its hard to believe that today is Halloween and we have already done so much.

Aubrey's Dance Recital

Saturday was Aubrey's first dance recital, she did great! It was at our mall. She did an adorable ballet number with her class. They were dressed as skunks and danced to a cute skunk song. It was very special because not only daddy who has not seen her dance yet but her Titi, Nana and Papa came to watch. It was also very special because Aubrey got to wear a little make-up (teachers orders). She looked beautiful!
After her dance Papa and Nana surprised her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers which she gets to keep in her room. We love our little star!

Zoo Boo

Introducing our adorable pirate and parrot:
Friday night was Zoo Boo at our local zoo. Aubrey was very excited all day!
Aubrey loved the games. Carter was more into walking around and trying to take his costume off.
Friday morning we went to a special breakfast with our friends. IHop was having a free kids jack-o-lantern pancake. 7 wild kids made for a crazy fun morning at IHop!
We had a packed full Halloween weekend which I will post all the pictures but since this is related to Zoo Boo I will post it now:
Aubrey made the front page of the Merced Sun-Star!!! This was one of the games they played at the zoo and someone took a picture of her and her information and sure enough it was in the paper on Halloween. We are very proud parents I think I have told the world already!

Carving Pumpkins

Thursday night we carved our pumpkins. The kids had fun watching and helping a little.
Aubrey chose the patterns for both. They came out really cute!

Halloween Crafts

We have been staying bust with getting all ready for Halloween. Aubrey and I made monster jars a couple of weeks ago:
My BOO blocks:
I attempted a subway tile for the first time:
We made these at craft night last night:
My fall mantel:
We made the Fall block back in September for craft night.
Here's just a cute pic of the kids:
Another event that is keeping me busy not Halloween or fall related is the campaign. Monday night I hosted a Meet & Greet for Stan at our house. It went really well:

Laundry Room Re-Do

I have wanted to paint our kitchen cabinets white since the day we moved in. I grew up with white cabinets and I have always liked how fresh and clean they look. After living here for 4 years now and doing all our other home projects and having 2 kids I have put the cabinet re-do on hold. Well back in September we decided that we were ready to do it but then we got cold feet. There are lots of pro & cons that weighed on our minds, it's a big project, would we like it and so on and so on. We decided that it would be a great idea to re-do the cabinets in the laundry room since there are only 3 and this would give us an idea of how much time it would take. Since we were going to paint the cabinets we decided to do the whole room and work on more organization. The room came out great!! We are happy with it and I think we are kind of leaning more to yes on doing the kitchen but we want to wait until the holidays are done. I'm so proud of us and our hard work we now have every room in our house painted and decorated.
Before After
I love our new organized hamper and the table for folding that Spencer made me:
Spencer also made me these perfect shelves for all sorts of things like: diapers, wipes, bibs, fabric and misc. stuff that I need down stairs. I'm waiting on Target to get more of the baskets for it to be complete.
Do you think we should do the kitchen?
