Aubrey's Ladybug Birthday Party

Aubrey's ladybug birthday party came out great!!! This girl has her party themes planned out for the next 5 years.  Right after her pinkalicious party last year she was already plannig her ladybug party.  I wasn't to sure about the red and black but after it was all put together it was perfect! I love that her birthday is so close to Valentines day and being that she is such a girly girl I can find so many great deals on pink and in this case red stuff.

Aubrey's favorite meal is Mac and Cheese so we did a mac and cheese bar for lunch.  The kids enjoyed picking toppings out.  I have to say that the cake I made turned out super cute! I took red M&M's and a black food pen to make ladybugs for the cupcakes.  They came out super cute!
One of my favorite parts about parties is collecting different party supplies over the years.  This year I got my mason jar cups, love!!

Here is where the timing of Valentines and her birthday really come in handy.... I found these adorable ladybug antennaes at the dollar store.  The party favors were bubbles and live ladybugs we will get to that part soon.
On the inviation we said wear red and black.  That was Aubrey's request and I think because we did that for the pinkalicious party.  I was so happy we did because I got a lot of great pics that all matched.

Pin the lady bug on the daisy was one of the games.
 Gift time.....
Aubrey was the cutest!! She would make sure everyone saw the gift before she went on to the next one.
 Craft time.....
We made ladybug jars and then went on a ladybug adventure.
This was daddy's idea and it was awesome!!!!! Such a hit! He bought 1500 live ladybugs and released them in the backyard.  The kids had a blast!
 Time for some cake!!

 After party pictures with family

It was a great day!!!!

Aubrey's Birthday

February 6 our little baby girl turned 5!!!!!! Wow I can't believe it! It's almost put me in a little depression thinking about my baby being in Kindergarten next year.  We had a blast making little gift bags to give her preschool classmates.  She decided on play dough with cookie cutters.
Aubrey was child of the week on her birthday at school.  I got to decorate the wall for her.  All her classmates wrote her letters everyday and she got to take them home at the end of the week.  It was my extra day on her birthday so I was very excited to be there for her special day.

Birthday morning........

We let her open 1 gift in the morning but this is her saying "just 1 more please"
At school Mrs. Rodriguez makes the kids these beautiful crowns for their special day.  She asks them earlier in the week what is their favorite princess, cartoon character, super hero etc. Aubrey chose Pillow which is a lala loopsy.  She LOVED it and it was a big hit with the all the kids and grown ups.
For Aubrey's birthday we went out to pizza for lunch and then McDonalds for dinner, I know super healthy huh? She loved it and that's all that mattered.
 Cake time!

We played a lot of Lala Loopsy that day.
It was a fun day and I loved how happy and excited she was all day.
Dear Aubrey,
Daddy and I are so proud of you and how sweet, smart and caring you are.  You make us laugh and cry.  We could never have asked for a better daughter.  I love our girl time and all our talks.  I love how you get so excited and want to plan everything just like me.  I love that I get to be your mommy and watch you grow.  I wish you a very happy year of being 5.
Happy Birthday Aubrey!!!!  We love you!
