June 2016

Summer was a BLAST  and it's hard to believe that it's all over.  Now I get to have fun reliving it and posting all the fun things we did.  It's easier to just post per month rather then a hundred single posts so here we go..... June 13-30.
When we got home from vacation we went straight into Father's day planning.  The kids and I had fun deciding what to make all the special dads in our lives.
First up a picture for daddy to put in his office.
I know we are all squinting in this one but I just loved the colors in this picture too.
Aubrey found this adorable kit to make Spencer which involved doing some string art.  It came out really cool.

She also got to work with a stencil.  Carter made the most adorable Super Hero poem.
One Tuesday 6/14 we had Ander and Violette over for a play date.  Violette bagged to stay over for the night.  The girls had fun staying up late and watching movies.

Wednesday 6/15 errand day.
The kids are obsessed with mystery packs right now.  Twozes are the new things and Aubrey can't get enough of them.  They come with a mini baby and an animal.  It's fun to see how many you can get that match and if you get a rare. They are about $3 so they make a great reward when I need to get some shopping done.
 Yay for Yougurtlicious!
and our newest restaurant...Five Guys.  There Oreo milkshake is to die for!
My good friend Wendy works full time and she had asked me if I could help out and watch Carrie, her daughter a few Fridays in the summer.  Our first Friday was 6/17 she brought us over muffins from Jantz's.  How cute is this sign she made.  Check out Aubrey's glasses!
We had some shopping to do so we took Carrie to Target.
That evening when daddy came home we did a couple of his Father's day gifts before we left for the Bay Area.

This was the poem Carter made....
 Too cute!
We made it to Hayward that night and had a pizza party with Spencer's mom, dad, two brothers, Susan and Ben.  After dinner we opened gifts.

Saturday we went to the new Finding Dory movie, so adorable!! After the movie we took the kids to the park and then got some Casper Hot Dogs.

We like the Casper Hot Dogs Spencer makes so much more then the real thing now.  But they were still yummy.
After we said good bye we headed up to Sonora to be with my dad.  We picked up pizza for a pizza party with my family that night.
Aubrey made a very cute Papa interview.

That night we watched movies and hung out.  The next day (Father's day) mom made an amazing brunch for the dads and then we got ready to go hang out at my Grandpa's place.  I was so happy that we got to spend this time with him on Father's day.

He went straight to drinking out of his mug that the kids made him.
After our nice visit we all went out with dad to ice cream.

Then our family of 4 headed home.  Spencer got to open his remaining gifts from us.

and then we took him out  to Strings for dinner.
 and dessert!
It was such a fun weekend and a great way to honor all the wonderful dad's in our lives.  I felt so blessed that we were able to spending quality time with each of them.
Monday 6/20 was the first day of College for Kids
We have never done this program before and I'm so happy we did! It was an amazing experience.  The classes go for 2 weeks.  They have 3 sections.  We couldn't sign up for the first one since we were on vacation but we signed up for the 2nd one and since it was so good we ended up doing the last session too.  Aubrey decided on cupcake camp and Carter wanted to do soccer camp.  Each camp was only 1.5 hours Monday-Thursday for 2 weeks.  Soccer camp started at 8am.  Carter loved it! He really liked getting his soccer gear and setting it out the night before.  It was fun to watching him and like all sports he picked it up really fast and was a pro at it.

Aubrey's cupcake camp was the cutest idea ever! Her camp was at 10:00am so after Carter's camp we would go over to hers.  I loved how we were on the college campus.  College kids were doing summer school so it was fun seeing them as we walked to the kids classes it really felt like we were at a college for kids.  Aubrey was so happy that Carrie was in her class and that the teacher was from Peterson.
I was blown away by the creations they made.  This was just after the second day.

It was also fun always having a fun dessert in the evenings as a family.

The hamburger cupcake was her favorite to make but she didn't like the taste as much she really liked the pineapple flavor cupcake.  I liked the red velvet one but then I again I liked them all.  I think I really have a dessert addiction problem.
In the afternoons that week the kids and I worked on changing their bathroom.  I was never a big fan of the bright yellow so I was happy to change the color in there.

I also finally found time to make the wreath I have wanted to make.
Friday 6/24 Carrie came over again and I also baby sat Amy's kids.

It was a full house but we all had fun!
Aubrey was amazing with Brooklyn.  I really wish I could have more kids because it would be a breeze having a helper around.
Friday night we went to dinner and then to Best Buy.  Spencer wanted a new TV so we went and looked.  While we were looking and discussing.  Carter and Aubrey came over to us and were pulling on us to get our attention.  Next thing I know I'm looking down at Carter with blood all over his hand and holding his head that is all red in the back.  It was such a scary sight.  Calm Spencer was able to wash him up and it was such a small cut in the back of his head.  He still doesn't remember what he bonked but he hit something and it caused a minor tear in his head but since it was on his head it bleeded like crazy.  The Best Buy people were so nice and helped bandage him up.  The bleeding stopped and it was so small we didn't take him to the hospital.
Saturday when doing yard work a small baby bird fell from our pergola and Spencer saved him.

We all took turns holding him and then Spencer put him back in the nest.
Sunday Aubrey made the most delicious homemade strawberry cupcakes.  They were to die for good.  She even pureed the strawberries and made the frosting from scratch.

it was her design to put half the strawberry on top.  How cute is she?  The camp is paying off!
On Monday she took a couple in for her teacher.
and came home with a couple more cute ones.
and the next day with even more cute ones.  The first week the worked more with butter cream and then the second week was fondant.
I had fun playing with Aubrey's hair while we watched Carter play soccer.
Wednesday 6/29 we were invited to my friend Anne's for a pool party.  We had a blast eating pizza, swimming, visiting, and making smores in their backyard.

Thursday 6/30 was the last day of camp..  The kids were sad they really liked it. We will for sure do that again next summer.

That night we meet the Sharp's for a yogurt date.
Wow June you were sure fun!!!
