President's Weekend

I love President's weekend. It is SO nice having Spencer home for three whole days. We had a very nice weekend relaxing, playing, seeing family and even a day trip.

Check out Carter's new hairdo:
(He actually has enough to do a Mohawk)

Spencer took these cute pictures Sunday morning right after they woke up. Aubrey loves getting Carter in the morning and asking him, "good dreams baby Carter?"

I tried to get a cute pic before church and this is the best I got.

We even got to see Nana & Papa Sunday night. They moved into their Sonora home last weekend which was very exciting but because of the bad snow in the mountains they lost all power for 5 days. It was very bad for them but we were excited to see them and spend time with them.

Monday we went to Rotary Playland for the day. It was a perfect day. The kids had a blast on all the rides and seeing all the ducks.

Carter was so proud of himself for standing up.

Aubrey has been getting lots of practice on her trampoline at home so she knew right what to do on this big one.

Aubrey's 1st roller coaster. She wasn't too sure about it, she held on very tight.

She was sure happy to get off. I love this action shot Spencer took.

Carter had his 1st spaghetti dinner, which he loved!

and then a much needed bath.

It was a wonderful weekend. I wish every weekend was three days.

Preschool!

1st Day of Preschool!
Tuesday February 15th was Aubrey's 1st day of Preschool.
Aubrey has been a trooper; she has been going to work with me since she was 3 months old. For the last 2 years we have only worked 1 day a week which has been nice. Aubrey usually would help me, play on the computer, watch cartoons and do some kind of craft. We had fun but we had a few hard days of keeping busy. Now that Carter comes to work also it became quite a challenge juggling everything. For the last few months we have been doing a babysitting exchange with our good friends and Aubrey would go there on Tuesday mornings. I had put Aubrey on a waiting list for a wonderful private preschool a while back and on the week of her 3rd birthday a spot opened up for Tuesday mornings. It was meant to be! So Aubrey goes to preschool 1 day a week from 9-12. Last week was a bit hard, she and I cried on Tuesday. Then when I picked her up she was in a bad mood and wouldn't talk. All week she would say "no friends, play with mommy!" I was a little worried that she really didn't like it. Today was much better. Aubrey talked all about her new friends and all the activities she got to do on our way home. We are excited for Aubrey and her new adventures that lay ahead of her.

Happy Valentine's Day

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine's Day.
We have been busy doing Valentine's Day crafts....

Opening Valentines from Nana & Papa.....

and eating everything shaped like hearts!

I was really happy with how my Valentine's Day mantel looked this year.

Happy Valentine's Day!
(On a side note check out Aubrey's Birthday post. I finally downloaded all her birthday day pictures.)

Our little boy is growing up.....

Last Wednesday Feb. 9th I went to get Carter up from his nap and I found this......

Later that day he was pulling up on everything. He just started crawling and then this! I have a feeling that he will be walking pretty soon.

For Valentines Day.....

Carter got his first tooth!!!!

He sure is not as happy as he is in the picture about the whole thing. It has been a hard couple of days for him. Poor guy has a runny nose and is just really uncomfortable. Hopefully now that the tooth has broken through it will be less pain for him. On a happy note this is one of my favorite pictures of Carter. A few weekends ago Spencer, Carter and I went down to LA for a conference while Aubrey stayed at Nana and Papa's. One day we did site seeing in Hollywood and Carter was thrilled. He was Mr. Smiles the whole day I guess he loves Hollywood, it is a very cool place.

Aubrey's Birthday Party

Aubrey's 3rd Birthday party was a big success! We all had a wonderful day and I know that she was on cloud nine. We started planning for her Birthday about a month ago. She had three choices for a theme and she choose Alice in Wonderland. I was thrilled! It was so much fun making all the decorations and thinking of the games we could play. It was a lot of work getting everything ready but we all really enjoyed it. Aubrey helped me with all the crafts and daddy made some awesome posters. We did everything by hand all the food, cake and favors. The weather was perfect, we could not have asked for a more beautiful day. We had a total of 7 kids and about 10 adults.
The day started playing in the bounce house, balls and with bubbles. Even Carter got in on the action.
Then we had lunch.

Then we made hats.

Then we played pin the smile on the cat.

Then Aubrey opened her gifts.

Then we had cake.

Then it was time for the pinata.

We also had a coloring table and the movie Alice in Wonderland playing.

Carter really enjoyed being part of the excitement and watching the kids run around.

Here are some of the decorations we did.

Also on Aubrey's Birthday Party day we got to celebrate with both sets of grandparents. Aubrey was way spoiled.

Her day started off with opening her gift from Grandma & Grandpa Sup. She was very excited to get a trampoline for our backyard.

After the party was over Papa & Nana Schill surprised Aubrey with at first a helmet that had a string hooked to it that led her to the front yard.

Where she found a Tink bike! She was thrilled.

What an awesome day! Thank you to everyone for making it so special for Aubrey!
