Kids say the funniest things!!

I have been wanting to post some of the funny things Carter and Aubrey have been saying lately.
A couple of weeks a go at Target we see this sign:

Carter says, "Mom we have to get on the ground and wiggle the sign says so."

We live right by Merced College and they have anagriculture/farming department.  There is a back road that drives right by the cows, goats and sheep's.  Carter calls it the sheppy way.  We take this road at least 2 times daily and always make the animal sounds and count the animals. We have really enjoyed driving that way the last few weeks since there are so many baby animals right now.  For those of you who don't know, Carter is not a big fan of babies.  When ever a friend has a baby sister or brother he is not to thrilled to play with them.  He says babies are stinky and they don't talk.  Well Nana took him the sheppy way the other day and Carter says, " I love baby cows, baby goats and baby sheeps I don't like baby people."

Carter loves snails! And we really like the movie Turbo.  On our walks in morning we have been collecting snails and taking care of them and than releasing them.  As you know snails go slow but from the movie Turbo if one snail is going just a little faster he say, "Wow that snail is fast." it's really cute.

Last weekend we went to our cousins wedding in Sacramento (I will post that trip next) My friend let me borrow some suspenders and a hat.  He ended p not wearing it but I still tried it on for fun.  Aubrey was down stairs coloring while we were playing dress up and then we came down the stairs to get his shoes and Aubrey sees him on the stairs and says, "Oh my! I need to marry you Carter right away." she continued with, "You are so handsome I love you."
Every day is a comedy show around here I wish I was better at recording these cute comments.

St. Patrick's Day 2014

We had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day weekend! I love being Irish and making this holiday so much fun for the kids.  We went on our annual trip up to Sonora for the weekend.  The real day was on Monday but the St. Patrick's day parade in Murphys was on Saturday.  We drove up to Sonora on Friday and had a delicious corn beef and cabbage dinner with my family.  Laura even made homemade soda bread and it was amazing.  We had a fun night of watching Frozen and being together as a family.
Saturday was the parade.  We woke up early and headed to Murphys.
The weather was perfect! We have been doing this celebration for 4 years now and we have seen it all, snow, rain, windy and now 70 degree weather!
It was a lot of fun watching all the neat floats and people march down the main street.

The daffodil's up by parents house are just amazing! I really want to plaint more bulbs in our yards for next year!

After the parade we braved the crowed and found a nice quite park of to the side to enjoy Irish bangers for lunch.  The kids liked climbing in the trees.
Then onto Columbia for some gold panning.  My dad is so cute and has the craft bug too! He designed these cute personalized gold pans for the kids.

It was a lot fun and we actually found some gold.  Daddy and I really got into it.
After our busy day we came home and enjoyed some fun playing time at Nana and Papa's.  Papa took the kids on a huge hike, Spencer took a nap, Titi made Spencer an amazing homemade chocolate cake and mom and I did some crafts.  We celebrated Spencer's birthday that night.

Titi just whipped this cake up in like an hour she is amazing!
Sunday we just relaxed from our busy day before, it was a great weekend.
Monday the kids woke up to a very green breakfast!

and you have to have a very green lunch too!
It was my work day at preschool and it was so much fun! The kids really got into the spirit of things and we all had a blast.

That night our good friends invited us to go to Sweet River Salon for dinner they had a corn beef special it was yummy and fun spending time with them.  I just love this holiday! It was a great few days!
Happy St. Patrick's Day

Student Of The Month

Our little girl was awarded Student of The Month for February! We are so proud of her!! We got a little invitation form her teacher to come to the assembly on Friday March 7th.  It was very hard to keep this a secret from our little girl for a whole week, they want the kids to be surprised at the assembly.  Daddy and I both went.  When she walked into the multi purpose room with her class and saw us I think it hit her that she would get an award.  She was very excited!

Aubrey is such a great student.  She takes school very seriously and loves to do all her homework right away.  She gets mad at me if we are running late in the morning.  Her writing and reading is doing great and her math is amazing.  We love you very much Aubrey and are beyond proud of you!!
After the assembly we picked Carter and McDonald's up and came back to Peterson for lunch with our star.

That night I got to go on a girls night out with my sister and mom to the mall and dinner.  I can't remember that last time I got to just meet up with them with out kids, it was great!

Saturday March 8th was the Peterson Pancake Breakfast and even the Easter bunny made an appearance.
That night we went up to a neat restaurant in the mountains to watch my boss Jim's band play and have dinner with my parents and brother.  It was a lot of fun watching Carter dance the night away.

This was just a cute picture of Carter and Mia at preschool.
He is on his way to being Student of The Month one day!

Daddy's 34th Birthday

Daddy turned 34 on Monday March 3rd.  Since he had a Monday birthday we celebrated his special day mostly on Saturday the 1st.  We had a great day! We went out for a nice lunch and then on to the movie theater to see the new Lego movie, it was really cute.  Then we came home and opened a couple gifts the kids had made for daddy.

Then we went to daddy's most favorite dinner place, Thai Cuisine 2.
 Yummy!!
We also decided to do cake on Saturday so we could enjoy daddy's favorite carrot cake all weekend long.
Monday (his real day) he had to work his double jobs :( but we did still find time to meet up at lunch and then open gifts in the evening, play Mario on the WiiU and watch a boy movie.

It was a great day/weekend of celebrating my favorite guy! We love you daddy! Happy Birthday!!

Daddy is lucky to share a birthday weekend with Dr. Seuss! His is the 2nd.  It was actually my planning day at preschool on daddy's birthday.  It was a really fun day we did The Cat in the Hat book, made hats, a hat matching game, and had strawberry/banana fruit skewers for snack.
After my planning day I got to go to Aubrey's class and read One Fish, Two Fish, Blue Fish, Red Fish and play a game with goldfish crackers with all her friends.  It was a Fun day!!

The end of February

February 22nd was our Supinger Valentine's/birthday party.  It was nice seeing the family and Aubrey loved all the attention of having her birthday in February.  It was a great trip to the bay area.  Spencer and I even got to have a date to Cheese Cake Factory and shopping.

Peterson has some great spirit days! February 27th was jersey day.
 This boy cracks me up!
Friday February 28th the preschool had a field trip to the local theater to see Aladdin Jr. I ended up taking Aubrey out of school for the play...it's an important part of art right?
