March 2019

Prepare for picture load.  I just find it much easier to post one big post for a whole month rather than breaking it up.  So here we go March 2019 in a nut shell...
3/1 I got to sub at the school and we had a huge read across America assembly.  Lots of people from the community came and we all pledged to read more.  It was pretty amazing and made me feel so blessed that my kids are at one of the best schools in the district!

After the pledge the many community workers stayed and read to all the classes.  Carter was excited to get firefighters and even cooler we know the one on the left he is our neighbor, Kevin.
 Saturday 3/2 lots of basketball...

Also Aubrey got to sell girl scout cookies out in front of Wal-Mart.  She sold over 200 boxes this year!
She had a game that late afternoon.
Out for an early birthday dinner for dad...

We got a new puppy in the family!
Introducing our new puppy nephew, Murphy....
Scott (Gaga) adopted the cutest puppy! We are excited for him!
Wednesday 3/6 Aubrey got her March slime kit.

 So many fun goodies!

 March RS newsletter I made...
Basketball snacks we made for Aubrey's team...
Friday March 8th Titi came to town and we went to the new Captain Marvel movie..
We ran into Carter's friend Ander so he came and sat with us.
Saturday March 9th Nana, Papa, Gaga and Murphy came down for the day to see the kids basketball games and to celebrate Spencer's birthday.
Between games we went to Sizzler for lunch and then we got to take all the dogs on a walk which was super fun...
The kids love getting prizes from Nana and Papa..
For Spencer's birthday they got him a sweat shirt with his logo on it...

We had a yummy Jantz pie....

Then we had Aubrey's game that evening.
Sunday March 10th Papa, Gaga, Titi and I drove to the bay area to go through old family stuff at the house I grew up in in Hayward.  My parents built their new home in Sonora in 2010 and have been renting our family home in Hayward since then.  They decided it was time to sell it so we needed to go through all the boxes we had left in the locked basement all of these years.  It was a fun day going down memory lane and also to see how the staggers had staged the house to be sold.  It looked really nice.  I loved growing up in this house!

I found lots of old goodies....

a very silly story I wrote when I was in elementary school.
We had so much fun laughing all together that day.  Dad took us to a nice lunch and it was just so fun being dad and his kids for the day.
Carter loved papa's old army outfit I brought home for him...
He has loved to wear it in the afternoons and play just like papa did when he was younger...
These puppies are two peas in a pod! They are loving each other.  It makes my heart happy seeing them cuddle and play...
The new poplar lunch at school is top ramen and Aubrey has been wanting to try it! She tried it out and kind of likes it. haha
The week of March 11th was CRAZY!.....
Monday March 11th Carter's track practices started.  He had to try out a couple weeks ago and he made the Peterson track team.  He took it so seriously and it has been so much fun for him.  He has practice every Monday and Tuesday after school...
Tuesday March 12th was the first day of baseball practice.  It's kid pitch this year and dad is a coach again.  We decided to stay being the New York Yankee's.  Looks like we have a great team.  We are excited to be back into Baseball.
This week was also the last week of basketball! We were on sports overload for sure! We have loved Upward basketball this season it has been so much fun! We finally got their pictures at the last practice March 13th...

 My two cuties!...
Friday March 15th I decided I need a clean up with my hair and got 5 inches cut off! Sad thing is Spencer didn't even notice haha....

The kids did and Carter was mad at me.  He said I should have asked permission.
That afternoon the kids worked on their Leprechaun trap..
It came out very cute! They even had a bed for him...
That night was the start of basketball tournaments for Aubrey's age group.  They won that night which made it so they were either playing for 1st or 2nd on Saturday.  This is such a cool action shot for Aubrey...

Saturday March 16th was the last game for both kids.  Carter's was early in the morning and they won.  We had so much fun with his team this year.  Spencer was a wonderful coach.  I was there to help but didn't do much.  The boys on our team were all wonderful.  We were team Sting and all in all we won most of our games.  It was fun seeing them all grow and enjoy the sport more and more!
Aubrey's game was later in the morning and this was the tournament.  It was so nice that Aubrey's teacher Mrs. Rabith came for the game.  That made Aubrey feel so special.  Her team the Hurricane's did not win the game so they came in second for the season.  They tried super hard but the other team was just taller.  It was hard for Aubrey to be the tallest on her team this year.  There was a lot of plays left up to her but she did so great and also really grew in the sport.  We were so proud of her and the all that she gave every single game.  She was an amazing team player and did such a fantastic job.
That night Dad and I got to go on a date!
Sunday March 17th St. Patrick's day!
The leprechaun came and left some treats!

 Green eggs and sausage....

Ready for church in our green!
Late afternoon that day was the Upward end of season ceremony they had a fun magician.

After the ceremony the 1st and 2nd place teams got to have free pizza party at Pizza Factory.  We had our corn beef cooking at home but didn't want Aubrey to miss out on the celebration so we went for just a little bit...

Then came home for our St. Patrick's day feast!

I was excited to make a planter box out of my grandma and grandpa's old ice cream maker. It came out so cute!
Wednesday March 20th was twin day at school..
Carter and Noah
 Presley and Aubrey..
The kids had their "twins" over for a play date after school that day..
That night was Aubrey's band concert....
Aubrey has been promoted from beginning band (5th grade) to intermediate band (6th grade).  She has been working so hard with her dad and is doing so good.  It's so fun to be able to hear her practice.  She is playing some really neat hard songs and we are just so proud of her.

What brothers do at the concert....

Dad went with his brother to Reno March 21st-23rd.  He had a great time and I had fun just being me and the kids.  I probably let them stay up way to late!
Friday March 22nd I got to sub and take my like little man out to lunch.
Since Spencer was in Reno the kids, dogs and I drove up and stayed at Titi's for the weekend.  We had a blast!
Friday night was pizza, game and movie night.  Papa and Gaga came over to join in the fun.

Saturday March 23rd there was a rock show going on up in Angel's Camp so we drove up there to check it out on the way we stop by one of John Meir's homes...

The rock show was really cool! The kids loved it.  They had a fun kid area where we learn and made lots of fun stuff.  Also they had a scavenger hunt which was really fun!

Then we got to go over and see Nana and all go out to dinner.
Sunday morning titi made us a yummy breakfast before we had to leave to come home.  We had so much fun and didn't want to leave but we were excited to see dad!
 Aubrey got some new glasses....
and Carter got his March science kit...
It was all about water and doing magic he loved it!
It even came with a diaper to do a fun trick with...
Carter decided to tell us Sunday March 24th he had a science fair project due Wednesday March 27th! Dad had a fun idea to do a probability with dice experiment so that is what we did...

Tuesday March 26th Aubrey had girl scout pictures.  She looks so grown up!
Wednesday March 27th was open house at the school. How cool is Peterson to do food trucks on our blacktop while open house was going on?!?! We just LOVE our school.

 Mrs. Carter and Carter...

Mrs. Rabith (Science, Math and homeroom teacher)
Ms. Parker (Social studies and LA teacher)
Poor Mrs. Butter was really sick so I subbed for her March 28th, March 29th and April 1st! Carter was so cute and came in and read to the 1st graders every day I was there on his lunch break.

Dad enjoying some In N Out after baseball practice!
Saturday March 31st we went up to Modesto for the day to do some GoCarts and mini golf.

Well there you have it our families March 2019!!!
