Carter is 3!!!!

Our little man turned 3 on May 2nd! He loved waking up to his decorated door in the morning.
He got to open two gifts in the morning.
 Blue birthday pancakes, yummy!
 My little Man! So cute!!!
It was pretty hot on his day so we filled up some water balloons and had fun.
 We even made some necklaces.
 Daddy's home gift time!
Carter got to pick his birthday dinner.... his favorite "The Bear Place"
 Cake time!
What a great birthday!!! We have his yearly physical next week so I can put down all his stats then.  Carter is an amazing little guy.  He is very active and loves to play with his happy cars.  He loves going on walks and watching movies.  He also has been more and more interested in reading and coloring.  He knows how to count to 10 and all his colors.  I'm amazed everyday with his vocabulary.  I feel like he talks a lot more then his sister ever did at this age.  Eating is a challenge since he is always on the go so he really doesn't have any favorite foods right now.  We love you Carer very much! You make me feel like one lucky mommy to get kiss your cute cheeks everyday and watch you grow.  Happy Birthday we love you!

April 2013

Well another month has past before our eyes.  April was a beautiful month here in Merced most days were 70 degrees.  We enjoyed lots of outside play, bike rides, walks, friend parties and even a mini vacation.  This year we tried to take off some of the smaller peaches on our tree in hopes of getting bigger ones this year.  This was just one afternoon of picking....
Our ward had our annual carnival.  The kids had a blast!
Friday April 26th the kids and I took a day trip up to Sonora.
It was a beautiful day and the kids enjoyed hanging on the dock with papa.  We went up to this cute apple farm for lunch and some fun activities.
Carter loved the choo choo ride!
Aubrey loved the animals.  Papa didn't read the sign before hand and ended up getting bit by the pigs.
The last weekend in April we decided we need a little trip so we packed the car and headed to Gilroy.  We wanted to get our annual season passes to Gilroy Gardens and since it was so warm decided it would be fun to stay at the hotel we love and swim.  It was great to get out of town and enjoy being the 4 of us.

 Swimming time!!
Saturday night after a day of rides and then swimming we headed over to the kids favorite restaurant, Black Bear Diner "The Bear Place" as they call it.
This was Aubrey after finishing her chocolate chip pancakes.....
It was a nice get away!! I really needed it because my next week was beyond crazy!!! Tuesday the 30th was my planning day at preschool, Thursday Carter's real birthday/MOPS tea party and Carter's party on Saturday! For Preschool it was insect week so Aubrey decided it would be fun to do Lady Bugs.  We read Ladybug girl for our book.  Made ladybug rock pets for art.  Drew out the ladybug life cycle and looked at real ladybugs for discovery.  Played a ladybug counting game for an extra project and made ladybugs for snack out of a bagel, strawberry cream cheese and raisins.  It was great! I feel more and more comfortable every time I do a planning day.  I do wish I took pictures but I was really busy running around.  I did snap this one of the kids playing outside. (Cole, Peyton and Aubrey)
Oh the tea party!!! What a job! I had know idea that being a table leader this year would take so much time.  I'm glad I did it but I'm happy the year is almost done.  I love MOPS it has been great but I feel as my kids are getting older and busier with more activities I want to be with them more.  I have met some amazing friends and learned a lot but as my life is changing out of the baby stage into the school age I think I have grown out of it a little.  So anyways as a table leader I was in charge of decorating my table.  I love decorating so this was a fun job I just wish it was a different week so I didn't feel so stressed out but oh well it came out great.  I needed to come up with 8 of everything (8 teacups, 8 saucers, 8 lunch plates, 8 place settings, 8 favors, 8 cups, 8 napkins, 1 tea pot, sugar bowl, cream pitcher and 1 table cloth). Thank goodness my mom and dad have a store in Jamestown and were able to let me brow the tea cups and tea pot.  I used all of what I had at home and made the favors.  I was happy with my rustic shabby chic table.
