November 2021

November started off great!! Monday November 1st I got to sub in carters class and then take my favorite guy to lunch at port of subs!
Tuesday November 2nd I got to meet up with nana and titi in Turlock for my birthday celebration! We went shopping, out to lunch and to cookie crumble!

That night aubrey had her young woman’s activity. It was a cupcake war theme.

While shopping that day I got the November ptc raffle prize.
Wednesday November 3rd was my 41st birthday!!! I started the day of great with a 4 mile run and walking the dogs. Then my wonderful hubby met me at my favorite lunch place, Panera!
I waited for everyone to come home from school and work and then we had my birthday celebrations!! My big gift this year was a trip to Sonoma to go zip lining but my family still spoiled me with lots of other wonderful prizes!!

After gifts we headed to dinner. I love being able to walk to restaurants so I picked strings for my birthday dinner.
Table prizes….

We ran into Mrs. Stapp at strings and she was so kind to surprise us with all these yummy desserts. She said she was so thankful to me for always being willing to sub for her and that I help her a lot with school activities! What a special treat this was!!
Then when we got home my wonderful hubby had my favorite white birthday cake I was one happy camper with all these desserts!

That night we watched a chick flick it was a perfect day!!!
Friday November 5th we packed the car and headed to Sonoma for our fun weekend away.
We stayed at the Doubletree and it was beautiful. It was like a resort! They had so many fun things to do. We went exploring that night!

Saturday November 6th we woke up early and did a work out. Then we got ready and went to a really chic place for breakfast.
Then we headed up the mountain for our zip lining adventure.

They first had us wait in this waiting area with fun games and snacks.
Then we boarded a truck and headed up even higher. It was a little rainy but that made it fun! We loved seeing the cloud covers over the trees and mountains we felt so high!

All ready to go!
This zip lining adventure was amazing! We loved every minute of it!! I guess it had the longest highest zip in Northern America. It was so much fun!!! I loved zip lining in the USA it felt so much more safe. We all had a blast!

After zipping, walking on rope bridges and repealing we were so hungry! We found an awesome diner where we pigged out on burgers, fries and milk shakes it was great! Then off to some shopping!!! Once done we went back to the resort and enjoyed the heated pool and spa. We ended our great day with pizza and movie in bed!
Sunday November 7th while heading back home we stopped in Berkeley to check out this amazing reptile store. It was really cool!!!! I’m kicking myself now that I didn’t get any pictures. I think we were all just so mesmerized we forgot to take our phones out and get pictures. It was really cool almost like a zoo! We picked up Rango a new bigger tank and some other fun stuff for his habitat. We decided it would be fun to stop by our old stomping grounds and have lunch at Casper’s in Hayward. It did not disappoint just as yummy as we remembered!
Once we got home we set Rango up in his new cage I think he likes all his new space!
When at the store Spencer and Carter were inspired to make a custom rock wall for Rango to climb on in his tank so they started to work on that!
Thursday November 11th was Veterans Day. The kids had a four day weekend. On Thursday carter was part of the parade on Main Street with his Boy Scout troop. They did a backwards parade this year so the organizations decorated booths along Main Street and the watchers drove through to see it. I thought it was pretty cool!

While carter was at the parade I picked up a bunch of Aubrey’s friends and took them to In N Out for lunch.

Then we drove through the parade and picked carter up and headed to Rock N Jump for the afternoon! It was a blast!

Then we took the girls home for a sleep over.
Aubrey has been busy fundraising for her Washington DC/New York trip. We came up with the idea to make cookie jars and they have been a big hit!! She has sold a bunch to friends, family and teachers! With the help of nana and papa matching what she sold she was able to earn $1000!!
Rango loving his new space!
Sunday November 14th the family all came down from Sonora to celebrate my birthday! We had fun eating pizza, opening gifts, dancing, playing games and of course more white birthday cake!!! It was so fun!

Aubrey was getting ready for the dress up week at school and wanted to borrow some gray sweatpants. I guess dads are a little too big haha!
Tuesday November 16th was 90’s day.
That evening aubrey had a thanksgiving party with the young women.

Wednesday November 17th was hat day. I love this picture so much!!
Aubrey got this chocolate turkey and it was a blast from the past! Totally reminded me of my childhood my grandma would always have these chocolate turkeys at the thanksgiving day table.

After the movie we had dinner downtown at a yummy Mexican restaurant it was a fun night out!
Thursday November 25th was thanksgiving. We had our traditional cinnamon rolls and watched the Macy’s thanksgiving day parade!

Then we packed up the car and headed up to Sonora for our family celebration. Nana always does such a wonderful job decorating!!! Papa did an amazing job cooking. What a fun day!

Amazing dinner!!!

Carter had a project to make a hatched for school. Most kids made it out of cardboard. Not carter! Papa helped him make this really cool real hatched! Carter got to learn all about power tools from papa!

Friday November 26th we all went to the movies to see Ghostbusters it was so good!
