Camping

I was shocked that I actually got a camp site at Pincrest in the middle of July.  Ever since my dad told me about Pincrest I have wanted to take my family up there.  I started looking on line to book a trip for the summer and it was booked, the whole summer!!! No joke I even called the ranger and he said yes that the sites are usually reserved by Christmas for the up coming summer.  I could not believe it! But he did say that people sometimes cancel last minute so that I should just keep checking back.  Well after checking everyday, multiple times a weekend finally opened up! July 19-21 was our weekend and it was great.  My dad and brother came up and stayed with us the first night and then we were on our own the second night.  When we got up there Friday night Uncle Scott and I made dinner while papa and daddy set up camp.  After dinner we all hiked over to the outdoor movie amphitheater.  It was awesome! They were playing Turbo which had just came out that day so it was perfect.
We had a fun night of roasting marshmallows and telling stories.  Papa, Gaga and I stayed up late talking by the fire.  We woke up early Saturday morning and Daddy made an amazing breakfast.

After breakfast the kids, Deuce, Papa and I went exploring the camp site and checking out the lake.

Yay for fun treats Nana sent up with the boys.
Sorry Carter this is too cute not to post!
My artist always finds time to color!
 Ready for the lake!

 The lake was beautiful!

Enjoying a very yummy treat from the snack shake

Nana even sent up a craft for the kids.
After playing in the lake Papa and Gaga took off and we just relaxed back at camp.  Aubrey is such a social butterfly she made a friend with a cute little girl right across from us.  They colored, played play dough, played with chalk, ate snacks and just enjoyed the out doors.  Poor Spencer started feeling kind of sick and actually had a mild-high temperature.  I felt so sad for him he wanted so bad to be running around and having fun but ended up just having to take it easy.

After a little rest he was able to enjoy the campfire.
This was our view in the tent beautiful!!!!

We went to bed early that night and ended up waking up early and packing up and being home by 10am on Sunday.  It was a great trip.  I felt so much more prepared this time around and I'm excited for our next camping adventure.  I now know why Pinecrest books up so early it is great and I hope we can make it an annual trip for our family.

4th of July (and the weekend)

Our 4th of July was spectacular! We had a wonderful morning at the annual Atwater parade and craft fair.  It was a very hot day 108.  Thank goodness the parade was in the morning and we had a great shady spot.
We were excited to have Nana, Papa and Uncle Scott (we missed you Titi!) over for a BBQ.  We beat the heat by making homemade strawberry ice cream.  It was so yummy!!!

Aubrey made a fun Independence Day bingo game.

 Family!!

Spencer put on a fabulous fire work show for us.
Mr. Carter was so brave to hold a sparkler.
4th of July was on a Thursday this year so Spencer took Friday off and we headed up to the bay area for the Supinger side party.  Friday we worked it out for 2 of the cousins to come over for a movie and a sleep over.  We saw the new Despicable Me 2 in the theaters it was fun!
 Sleep over time!
Playing in Grandma and Grandpa's beautiful spa.

We got to celebrate Carter and Ben's birthday at the party.

After the party we headed over to Titi's for a slumber party.
The next day we decided it would be fun to be tourist in San Fransisco.  This was Carter's first time on BART he loved it.
 Exploring the huge Disney store.
Enjoying lunch at my favorite, Cheese Cake Factory on the roof top of Macy's.

It was perfect weather that day! We enjoyed an outdoor carnival show in Union Square after lunch.  While eating we noticed that the St. Francis hotel had 4 outside elevators that went very high.  We thought we should go check it out and see the views.  When we got there we found out we needed a room key so we ended up waiting by the elevators in hopes of people going up high.  We road the elevators probably 10 times and I think the highest we got up to was floor 20 it was a fun activity.  The kids loved it!

Great day! Fun holiday and weekend! We love our families!!
