Camp Phoenix Lake 2014

The kids and I just had an amazing week (7/6-7/11) up at Nana and Papa's.  Papa had the fun idea to have me make shirts and I had a great time finding the perfect image and font to make our very own camp shirts.  Nana was so sweet to keep washing them pretty much everyday so that we could match all week long.

Tuesday we headed up to Twain Harte for a picnic in the park and some mini golfing.  The kids loved it! Carter got a hole in one and is still talking about it.  It was a blast!

That night we went out on the canoe on the lake, made tacos for Taco Tuesday and watched The Lego Movie.

Wednesday the kids and I worked on painting their new tree house.  It is just adorable!!  Nana took us shopping so the kids could pick out what colors they wanted they had so much fun designing what they wanted to do.  On Aubrey's wall she wanted blue as the background like the sky with flowers, rainbows and a sun on top.  Carter wanted a green wall and he still deciding between dinosaurs, volcano's or both on his wall. Since I was helping paint I did not have my camera or phone with me so I didn't get any picture :( I will ask my parents to send me some because it is the cutest tree house ever!! Also on Wednesday I went and checked out the gym in Sonora and did my run and later that day took the kids to the swimming pool.

That night we drove up to Tuolumne for the farmer market/concert in the park.  We enjoyed a picnic dinner and some snow cones.

When we got home we had a camp fire and made a new kind of smores with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Titi's idea and oh so delish!!!

Thursday morning Papa, the kids, Deuce and I headed up to Pincrest for the day.  As I'm writing this post I'm amazed with all the fun things we did!!  We all hiked about half way around the lake.  I was impressed with how well we all did.  The weather was just perfect and the scenery was beautiful.
Carter loved running a head of us all and climbing on all the rocks.

After our hike we found a nice shady beach area to have a picnic and let the kids swim.

Thursday night Papa, Gaga, Titi and I went to a live Rifftrax showing of Sharknado in Riverbank.  Nana watched the kids and we went out and had dinner at Cool Hand Luke's and to the movie.  I had never been to a Rifftraxs movie but Gaga and Papa have gone to a few.  It was hilarious and a great night out.  The theater was awesome every chair was a recliner! I was very impressed.  I tried so hard to get a good picture but it was hard to do with my phone in a dark theater so unfortunately I cut my brothers head out of the picture so sorry, Scott :( but you get an idea.  It was a real fun night out!

Friday the kids and I packed up and headed home.  Daddy was very happy to see us he missed us a lot and we missed him.  It was such a fun week filled with lots of special memories! Carter asked me if we have camp again this next week.  Like I said before we did so much and just had a great time being with our family.

4th of July 2014

Our holiday to host for the Supinger side was 4th of July this year.  The kids and I had a great time getting the house ready and decorating for the party.  We made a star garland, a few perler fuse bead crafts, and this adorable lantern idea I found on pinterest.
They came out cute and were a big hit at the party.
The one thing I was most worried about having a summer party with 25+ people here was the weather.  We decided not to put our pool up this year because number 1 I'm way too worried about the kids being outside on their own, 2 we joined the gym and 3 the drought.  Of course the weekend before the 4th was in the high 80's and the weekend after was low 90's but the 4th was 104!!! Well since that has happened in the past I tried to plan accordingly so our party started at 5pm and our back yard was quite pleasant after the sun went in front of the house.  The party lasted until 11:45pm so I think starting at 5 was just fine lol! It was great to see everyone and enjoy celebrating our nations birthday.

The kids all loved playing games and watching movies in the movie room.
For dinner we had a huge potluck/BBQ with everything you can imagine and yummy dessert!!

It was a full house but it worked out great and we all had fun.

We celebrated Jacob, Ben and Charlotte's birthday.
The fireworks were the best part!
All the families brought a ton and the guys put on a great show.

I even took the kids on a short walk up the block to see the huge firework show they were putting on at the airport.
After almost everyone left we continued the party with 3 of the cousins, Grandma and Grandpa they all stayed the night.
Saturday we went swimming with everyone in the morning and then rested! It was an eventful couple days.  After church on Sunday we got to see Shellece, Gerritt and kids one last time before the headed back to Mountain View and then we had my family over for a BBQ.
Even though it was still a little light out we did some more fireworks.

It was great that we got to celebrate with all our families over the long weekend.
The kids went home with the Nana and Papa that night to start off Camp Phoenix Lake.  They had 2 nights up there and then I joined them on Tuesday for 3 more nights.  It was nice but very strange having such a quiet house for 2 nights.  I got to go to work free of kids Monday, have a much needed date night with my hubby and reached my goal of 35 minutes running.  According to the app on my phone I'm officially a 5K runner.  Now I'm working on my time and trying to do a 5K under 30 minutes.
