Father's Day 2014

We had a great Father's Day weekend this year.
We went with a twin theme for gifts this year lol!
Carter got some neat new gifts too!
 I love my boys!
Sunday we went up to Sonora to spend the day with my dad.  We went and checked out the rail road museum in Jamestown.
The kids loved exploring the grounds.

Then we went back home for gifts and BBQ.

It was a great day to honor the men in my life.  I love my dad and the wonderful example he is to me.  He is the best dad and I could have never ask for more.
I love that I married my best friend, Spencer and that I get to see him the best dad to our kids.  What a wonderful day it was to honor both of these incredible men! We will be celebrating Spencer's dad this weekend.  He is also such an amazing dad that raised such a great man.
Happy Father's Day to all the special dads out there!

Merced County Fair

What an awesome way to get into the summer mood, going to the county fair.  I didn't really have high hopes for the Merced fair since Spencer and I went back in 2006 and were not impressed at all it was hot, dirty and very small to what we use to from the bay area.  The kids and I have gone for MOPs days in the past but it's a behind the scene not open to the public kind of thing and you don't really get the fair experience.  Well yesterday we put on the cow gear and went for it! It was kids day and I was beyond impressed this time.  The weather was perfect, the people were all so nice, the fair was clean and the activities for the kids were wonderful.
The petting zoo was adorable.  They had just about everything in there.  All the animals were friendly (the deer a little too friendly he tried to eat all of our clothes).
Our favorite was the kangaroo and baby so cute!

There was a cowboy boot camp where the kids got to play horse shoes, ride a pretend horse, play in a bean pit, gold pan,
 milk a cow,

and ride on tractors.

After that we watched a tractor parade and then went on to explore all the buildings and then found the home depot building station.  Carter made a tool box and Aubrey made a heart box.

We then ate dinner tri-tip sandwich, hot dogs and yummy garlic fries. After dinner we watched a little of a spelling bee, went and watched car racing and looked at all the animals.
Then onto the rides.  I'm not a big fan of fair rides.  The fact that they put them up in a day and the people putting them up look a bit scary I wasn't to thrilled with putting my pride and joys on them.  Also the cost is ridiculous.  It's crazy the amount of money you can spend at the fair.  We let the kids pick one ride and since it was close to the ground I said okay.  They liked it but I think since they had so many other fun things to do and look at they were not that disappointed with only one ride.
After that we headed over to the cowgirl/cowboy contest.
It was a lot of fun.  They answered questions about themselves and the lady introduced them and they walked around.  When asked what is your favorite part of the fair, Carter answers, "this contest" (he was in it to win it).  They both walked away with a trophy and a certificate.

It was a great family night! We decided to leave the fair and have dessert at Sonic and it was a yummy way to end our fun night!

Summer Is Here :)

Aubrey did it! Her first year of real school has come and gone and she did GREAT!!! It's amazing to look back on all the fun things she has done and everything she has learned.  We are very proud of her!! She is an amazing writer, loves to read and surprises us with her math skills everyday.  She is at the top in her class and got a perfect all 4 report card.
Aubrey's last homework assignment was an all about me poster.  She had a great time making it and loved having it on display in her classroom the last few weeks of school.
Wednesday May 28th was the kindergarten program.  They dressed in red, white and blue and sang patriotic songs.  It was adorable as always.

After the show dad, Carter, Aubrey and I went out to lunch to celebrate.

Friday May 30th was Carter's preschool end of the year program.  We are very proud of Carter and all he has learned this last year.  He is playing really good with others and his art is fabulous! I really take a lot of pride in my children's art skills.  We spend a lot of time at home coloring and creating.  Carter will draw pictures for hours.  He is really into drawing people right now.  At the end of the preschool year the kids paint in these squares any thing they want.
I don't mean to brag or put others down but most of the kids scribble and just run off Carter took his time and made me and him in his square.  I do kind of remember bragging about Aubrey last year and the beautiful rainbow she made.  This is just something really important to me and makes me so proud that my kids love it too.  The end of the year party was fun and special that we had Titi here that weekend too.
Carter is still a little small to take the school bus to school Lol.
Good thing he has another year of preschool.  We found this randon monster truck school bus in Atwater last week.  I guess they give rides in the evenings.

The first week of June, Carter was done and Aubrey had just 4 more days of kindergarten.  It was pretty much just a party week for her at school.
This was the gift we made Mrs. Stapp.  She has a son in the Marines and loves the American flag.  I got her a new scarf and Aubrey and I made the picture.
Wednesday was field day and I got to help.

I really hope Aubrey will be with her best friends in 1st grade they are so fun together.

Thursday June 5th was the last day!! It was a minimum day.  Carter and I were very excited to pick up sissy.  Mrs. Stapp was wearing the scarf we got her:
When we came home the kids got to run through this sign:
Anytime I can make an event a party I do lol! Summer time party!!

Here is the sweet gift Mrs. Stapp got me for helping out this year.
Friday June 6th I organized a end of the year party for the preschool and kindergarten classes at the new jump house place in Merced.  I went with a rainbow theme and these are the cupcakes I made.
We are so excited to have our very own pump it up place just a couple miles away!!

We are all very excited for our summer ahead.  I can't wait to relax by the pool, spend time with family and friends and most of all enjoy having my kids at home with me.  We have a few day trips planned, a week at nana and papa camp, and our big family vacation in August to Legoland it's going to be a grest summer!
