March Madness

Last weekend was our annual March Madness weekend. Spencer gets together with his brothers to watch the college basketball games while the kids and I hang with my family. This year was awesome because we got to go up to Sonora and check out all the new things up there. Plus it was Carter's 1st March Madness. On Thursday afternoon Titi and Nana came to pick us up. It was very crowded in the back, sorry Titi.

When we got to my parents house we just hung out and the kids got to take a bath in the new jacuzzi tub. Aubrey was not too sure about the bubbles but Carter our little fish had the time of his life.

Friday we went down to Main Street and went to the cutest paint your own pottery place. Aubrey loved it. She painted her bunny all on her own. (I love the blue eyes)
While Aubrey painted Carter played with all the neat toys.

Then we came home and made cookies. The weather called for rain but instead we got tons of snow. Aubrey was very excited!!!

Saturday all of us went to Murphy's for a St. Patrick's Day parade. Aubrey was excited to wear her shirt again.

The parade was very cute. It was fun seeing everyone wearing green and some other fun characters.

After the parade they had a street fair, music, and dancing. It was very cold but we all had fun looking at everything and dancing to Irish music.

Saturday night Spencer joind us up in the moutains. We all relaxed and enjoyed being together. It started snowing again the morning so it was a perfect day to hang in our jammies and watch the snow.

Our family dog Charlie has Cancer and we are all very sad. He probably only has a couple months left. It makes me cry to even think about it. I was happy that we had this weekend to be with him and that I got this great picture of the kids with him. Aubrey LOVES Charlie! When ever we are talking about seeing Nana and Papa she always asks "and Charlie, right?" We have so many great memories with Charlie, he is a great dog!

Aubrey and Titi made this great snowman. I planned for rain so I didn't bring up all our snow clothes. So Aubrey was a bit cold.

What a wonderful weekend! Thanks mom, dad, and Titi for everything!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We hope everyone had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day. We had a great week celebrating our Irish heritage. The kids and I got to go up to Sonora Thursday-Sunday while Spencer and his brothers did their annual March-Madness trip. Our family of four did most of our St. Patrick's celebration on Wednesday.
Here our a little leprechauns:

I made the kids their shirts.

We started the day with green pancakes.

Carter loved them! Aubrey thought it was yucky since they were green (she does not like anything green).

Aubrey made this stain glass. We used old crayons and melted them down.

We made cupcakes for our friends and daddy's work.

We danced to Irish music while getting dinner ready.

We got the table all ready.

Carter wasn't too sure about all the excitement and the fact that he had to wear this little hat.

They both got shamrock socks and Aubrey also got some golden coins.

The family is already for dinner!

My favorite Corn Beef & Cabbage.
(It was awesome this year because I got it to have it two nights!)

The day ended with a cupcake.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Spring is almost here!

I think that is what Aubrey was wishing for......

I always think my blog is all caught up and then I look at the camera and see that I missed a couple of fun things. I guess it was two weeks ago when we got to meet up with my mom for a fun day in Modesto. It is great having my folks closer we get to see them about once a week. Last week felt a lot more like spring. This week is rainy again and as you will see in the next couple of posts lots of snow up in the mountains. We took advantage of the weather last week and went to tons of parks.

We went to the Disney store in the mall while in Modesto and both Carter and Aubrey thought they were at the happiest place on Earth.

Two Saturdays ago Spencer and Aubrey worked on the garden. Aubrey had fun helping daddy dig the holes and putting the seeds in.

I made these signs for the garden.

Last year I bought some tulips for my window box. After they died I took the bulbs out and Spencer planted them out in our back. This is what came of it.....

It is so beautiful. There are five or six others that have not bloomed yet.
While they worked on the garden I followed Carter around and took tons of pictures. He was crawling so funny, he didn't want his knees to touch the grass.

Check out my little calendar guy

What a cutie!

St. Patrick's Day excitement

I'm not sure if it's the fact that I'm a quarter Irish, or that I love decorating for holidays but I have been on a St. Patrick's Day craft overload. I made these blocks a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Spencer for cutting the wood so perfect!

I also saw this idea on a craft web page and I just had to make it!

I have lots of ideas for Aubrey for this weekend and the day of but we did have time this week to do this cute little guy.

I think I might also be obsessed with the Irish culture because I got to go to Ireland a couple of times while I was a flight attendant. I love Ireland! It is beautiful. Check out how green it is:

(This was my view from my hotel room)

Ireland is so rich with culture. It was amazing seeing such old castles, churches, and buildings. The shopping is also great.

I hope I can get back there some day with my family and not be working!
