Calling All Trolls to Aubrey's 9th Birthday Party

Saturday February 11th was Aubrey's birthday party!! Like I said before she really wanted a slumber party.  She has been begging for one.  We are not big fans of slumber parties and we have actually debated about just doing stay lates and that is all we have done up to now so I felt kind of like a hypocrite if I were to invite girls her to spend the night but I don't let Aubrey spend the night at their houses. So we decided to put on the invite until 10pm but if you felt comfortable with your daughter staying here they were more then welcome.  Since it was a night party we also only allowed Aubrey to invite 6 friends.  We told her to pick 3 from school and 3 from church.  It was hard for her to narrow it down but she did.  It was also different not having the grandparents at this party.  Titi was so nice to make the cake and she was here for the party and the night which was a huge help! 3 adults vs. 6 kids was a good match! We had a great time and as you will see in the pictures the girls had a blast!

The first thing the girls did when they arrived was made troll hats!
Here are all the guests....
Kourtney (school), Eve (church), Daliyah (school), Aubrey, Violette (church) and Kendall (school).
Her friend Molly from church couldn't make it last minute.
Look at this amazing cake made by Titi!
She always comes through with the best cakes!!!
This was the craft station.....(Troll houses and Troll hair)
The dessert table.  I made really yummy fruity pebble treats, dipped strawberries and lots and lots of candy.

The blue background was for photo booth which I used my polaroid camera on.
We ordered Domino's for dinner that night and got way to much pizza but Spencer was happy to have all the left overs.
 More picture fun!

After dinner the girls ran around the house like crazy people and then played in Aubrey's room.  They got daddy to play Fibber with them.  How cute is he!!! Such a great dad!
While the girls played upstairs Carter got some painting in before the craziness of the girls crafting.
Then it was time for them to make their Troll houses.  They were all so cute and had a great time painting and singing to the Troll soundtrack that was playing in the background.

I love how unique each one was!

After crafting it was time for games first up pin the hair on poppy....

We then did a super fun gift game that my parents had taught us at Christmas.  I didn't get any pictures because I was busy video taping but it was so much fun! I had wrapped a Troll toy about 10 times so it looked pretty big then the girls had to wear an oven mitten and troll hair and try to open the gift.  The person to their left was rolling a dice and once they rolled a 6 they had to pass the mitten, troll hair and gift to that person and then they try to open it while the next person rolls the dice.  It was hilarious.  Kourtney was the one that ended up opening the gift so she got to keep the Troll it was really fun! After those two games Aubrey opened up her gifts.

Then it was time for the pinata.  What a waste of money! It was the pull string and the second string that was pulled the candy came out.  It was the fastest game ever!

Then we sang to my princess!

On accident I bought relighting candles.  For some reason I thought it meant that they could be recycled but no they keep re-lighting after she would blow.  It was really funny.

We did have one casualty from the flames.
Then it was time to enjoy some yummy cake while they watched the movie, Trolls..

After the movie it was time for some Just Dance.
and then we made Cotton candy.

Which was fun, yummy and messy!
After our treat it was around 10:30 and we said good night to Eve and Kourtney when their parents picked them up.  All the other girls wanted to stay the night.  It turned into an American Girl party that night.  they all brought their dolls and had fun getting them ready for the slumber party.
They all looked so cute snuggling up and how sweet of Aubrey to let her brother join in the fun!
Surprisingly they were all a sleep by 11:30pm and had a great night! We had to wake them the next morning to be able to fit breakfast and getting ready for church in.
For breakfast I made pink pancakes and strawberries.

I wish I would have gotten a picture of all the girls in their church clothes they looked so cute.  I was proud of Aubrey for being a missionary! She brought both Daliyah and Kendall to church for the first time and they loved it.
Here are the favors we found.  I love that Aubrey's birthday is so close to Valentine's day we can always find fun girly things! Aren't these perfect!!...
It was a great party! We had a blast and I love the memories that Aubrey got to make with her friends.  I have been hesitant about sleepovers but this made me remember when I was younger and some of my best memories are of friends staying over or me going to their houses.  Not sure yet what our policy will be but what ever it is we had a great time this time and can't wait for the next party to plan!
