Carter's 1st grade Performance

Okay this boy just melts my heart!
He was so happy to have his family there to support him!
He does have a silly side to him too!
The first grade Rainforest presentation was Wednesday May 17th and it was the cutest! Carter did great in his speaking role and was such a performer in all the songs and dances.

We were beyond excited that Nana made it down for the performance!

I also snuck Aubrey out of her class to come and watch!

He's going to miss his buddy's over the summer.  Xavian has to go to LA to be with his mom but Maddox is staying around so we will plan some play dates for sure.
After the performance I was lucky enough to have Nana all to myself! We went to the mall and walked around.  We then got to go to our fav for lunch Jantz!
and to top it off it was free pie day!!!
Then Nana and I went to pick up the kids after school.  We said good bye to Nana and then got ready for baseball.
This is a typical baseball night for us hurry do homework, pack your toys you want to bring and I make something quick for dinner to eat in the car!

Girl Scouth Bridging

Aubrey bridged from a brownie Girl Scout to a Jr. Cadette on Tuesday May 16th.  I was never a girl scout so all this is new to me.  Aubrey just loves her Girl Scout Troop and I love how many things they are learning and how organized they are.  The celebration was really cute and we felt honored to watch our girl bridge to one step higher as a girl scout.  This was the cake table.  It has a cake for each age group: Daisy, Brownie, Jr, Cadette and then I'm not sure what they are called but it keeps going as high as what's equivalent to Eagle Scout.

Aubrey and Kendall
Even though they are not at the same school this year and don't play as much they still are very close and love there time together at girl scouts.
 Carrie and Aubrey
Daddy surprised us and got to come and watch the ceremony.
We didn't wait in the long line for cake so we opted for our favorite yogurt place.
Aubrey you are growing up so fast!!! Slow down.
We are so very proud of you!

Mother's day 2017

Since we had Carter's party on Saturday May 13th the day before Mother's day we were able to celebrate Mother's day with my mom that evening.  After cleaning up the party we headed out to a very yummy Mexican dinner at LaHa 2.  I love my mom so much! She is my hero and my best friend I feel so grateful to call her my mom and have her to support me all I do.

After dinner we came home for some gifts and some more hang out time.

It was a beautiful Saturday and I'm so glad we had the time to be all together.

Sunday May 14th I woke up to very excited kids.  I look pretty bad in these pictures since I just woke up and had party hang over lol.
The kids went above and beyond with my gifts this year! Carter made me a beautiful bird house and a very cute mom questionnaire.  I love that he knows everything about me.  He takes a lot of time and effort into learning everything so that his questionnaire was all right.
Aubrey made me an amazing card with 10 reasons why she loves me.  I was in tears it was so special!!
That assignment sparked an idea to make me a little box filled with 30 reasons they love me (10 from each Aubrey, Carter and dad) talk about a huge tear jerkier! I have more pictures but lets just say I'm not the prettiest crier.
Then daddy kind of surprised me with a fit bit.  I say kind of since I told him what color I wanted.  It's been a lot of fun being able to track my runs.  I'm also able to track bike rides and see my sleep patterns and heart beat.
After gifts we got ready for church
At church I got to hear my adorable kids sing.

After church we came home and I crashed on the couch for pretty much the entire day.  We did go on a bike ride in the evening and we had yummy salads for dinner.  It was a great day! I feel so loved.  This was the image I sent to my mom on Sunday and it's what I hope my kids feel too.
  (I think they do!)

Carter's Nerf Party

Carter has been talking about having a Nerf party for like 6 months! Pretty much since Christmas when he played with his first Nerf gun at our families Christmas Eve party.  Like I have said before I'm not a big gun fan but I do anything for these kidos so a Nerf party it is!  After I got over that he wasn't going to do super hero's (which I wanted!) I actually had a lot of fun letting his and my creativity go wild with the party theme.  There is NO Nerf party supplies which was actually really fun because we made everything on our own.

Don't mess with this 7 year old!

Since Carter loved the rice krispie cake Titi made at Easter so much that is what he requested this year for his party cake.

Titi also made cupcakes.  She is amazing!

I made the kids cute aprons to hold their ammo in and got them the cutest safety goggles.
This was the party favor for all the kids.
Spencer made the coolest invention for the pineta.  The boys had to shoot right into the middle of the target for the candy to fall. More pictures of that to follow.  Titi came up with Shoot for the loot and Auntie painted it.  It was a group effort and came out so cool.
Our little family all ready for the festivities

The first to arrive was Nana and Papa.  They surprised Carter with his birthday gift.
It's a net to practice his pitching.  He loves it and will get good use out of it! Can you believe Carter can actually pitch to his dad?? Yes he can he is a natural baseball player and probably will be a pitcher some day.

Nana and Papa brought Aubrey a sweet little gift too!
 Then all the guest arrived!
Xavian, Cord, Ian, Carter, Wesley, Joseph and Ander.

(Maddox came late so I didn't get him in the group picture)
It's sure hard to get seven 7 year old boys to all look at the camera at the same time!
Once the guest arrived we went right into our art project.
We painted targets.

After painting we had lunch.
As for food Carter really wanted hot dogs (Mega Nerf bullets), Cheeto puffs (Nerf Darts), fruit salad (fruit bombs) and I wanted my moms potato salad (potato explosion).
The kids loved the hydration station.
After lunch it was game time.  First up pin the dart on the target.  I had got some suction darts that stickied to the window.

Then we had a fun ping pong shooting game.

We then played another target practice game and then came in for musical targets.
After all the structured games the kids really just wanted to battle so they went out and played.  Spencer had put up cardboard hide outs around the backyard.  It ended up turning into everyone against daddy.
 Daddy was having a blast!

After all that playing it was time to come in and open some gifts.  Carter was so sweet and grateful for all the special gifts he got from his friends.

Then we sang to my sweet boy.
We then enjoyed dessert and finished our last few games.
Our new favorite the mitten unwrapping game.
and then shoot for the loot.
We all thought this was going to be a hard game and that all the kids would get a chance but sure enough the 3rd person did it! I was kind of disappointed.  Oh well
 They all had a blast!

Once the crew all left we were able to have some family time and then switched gears to Mother's day!
Another fun party in the memory books.
