Black Friday

While Spencer and I went Christmas shopping all day Friday Nana, Grandpa, and Aunt Laura took Aubrey to Fairyland in Oakland. She got to go on a train ride, a slide, watch a puppet show, and see tons of other babies and kids. They said that she really enjoyed herself and smiled the whole time. They took some really cute pictures.

Thanks mom, dad, and Laura

Thanksgiving 2008

Aubrey's first Thanksgiving was a blast. We started the day waking up and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and eating cinnamon rolls (family tradition). Then we packed up the car and headed to Spencer's side of the family for our first Thanksgiving and Birthday celebrations. Then on to my side for are second Thanksgiving and to spend the night. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful family and the ability to see so many people that we love so much that day.

Aubrey enjoying some yummy sweet potatoes.
Turkey next year.

Thank you everyone for making our Thanksgiving and Aubrey's 1st so special. We love you all!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I can't believe Christmas is just a little over a month away. We are so excited for the Holiday season. Christmas music is beginning to play on the radio and the stores are all decked out, so much fun!!! Last Saturday Spencer and I took Aubrey to get her Christmas pictures done. Merced Band Review

On Saturday we went to The Central Valley Band Review in Merced. Spencer and I met in Jr. High in band class. We both then went on to Hayward High where we were both in the Marching band together and that is where we began to date so band reviews have a very special place in our hearts. Here are some pictures from the event.

Aubrey started clapping on Friday. As she watched the bands march by she would clap it was very cute!

It was so nice reliving our High School years and watching all the fabulous bands. We hope that our kids will follow in our footsteps so we can go on the fun band reviews with them.

In honor of the band review post we thought it would be fun to post some of our band years.

Us in our band shirts in Disneyland in 1998. We got to march down Main Street.

This is what happens....

When you don't take your afternoon nap!

Aubrey is 9 months

Our little girl is growing so fast. Today marks her 9 month mark. It is so hard to believe that she has been out as long as she was in my tummy. We love her so much. She brightens our days.

Here are some exciting things she can do now:
Crawls
Pulls herself up
Stands for a long period of time
Giggles and smiles all the time
Says: dada, mama, baba
Her newest thing is whispering
Gives big hugs
Eats all kinds of veggies and fruits
She has two teeth on the bottom
and she is loads of fun!!!

Sewing

For my birthday my parents gave me my first sewing machine and I'm so excited to start sewing like crazy. On Monday I read through the whole direction manual and figured out how to use it all on my own. On Monday when Spencer got home we all went to JoAnn fabrics and I picked out some fabrics to practice on and then tonight I made this little pillow for Aubrey.
This is just the begging of my sewing career. I can't wait to learn how to make anything and everything. Thanks mom and dad!

My Birthday Weekend

I just celebrated my 28th birthday yesterday. What an amazing year 27 was I'm so excited to see what this year holds for me and our family. It was so much fun being a mom this year for my birthday. Spencer and Aubrey really spoiled me this year. Spencer took all of us on a weekend family trip to Sacramento.
Aubrey and I watching the rain in our hotel.

One of my birthday gifts from my wonderful husband was a gift card to Macy's to use while we were in Sacramento. The mall was huge and had everything it was great! They even had a carousel so Aubrey and daddy took a ride, they both loved it.

Brunch at our hotel.

We all drove up to Apple Hill. It is so beautiful and we had so much fun seeing all the farms and fall leaves. The weather was perfect.

We met up with my family for my birthday dinner over the weekend.

Thank you everybody for such a wonderful birthday. Thank you to the BEST husband for making my birthday and birthday weekend so very special. You mean so much to me and I can't wait to spend every birthday with you forever.
