9/11

September 11, 2001 a day that will never be forgotten!

I can not believe that it has been 10 years. I remember one of my sorority sisters coming into my room saying, "hurry turn the TV on! Something bad just happened." We started watching the Today show and at the time just one of the towers had been hit and we had no idea why. Then we all watched in horror as the other tower was hit soon after. It was the most shocked I have ever felt in my life. Thinking of that day brings such sadness. My thoughts and prayers go out to the ones that lost family and friends that tragic day. I feel honored to be in a country were we have so many brave honorable people that serve our great nation and do so much to take care of all of us. My family and I went to the 9/11 parade and ceremony today to honor all those lives and all the service people that work so hard everyday for us.

Labor Day Weekend

Can't every weekend be 3 days? We had an awesome Labor Day weekend. We went up to Sonora for the weekend. Titi, Gaga and Aunt Pat also came up. We had a fun being with our family and doing lots of fun things. We also got to celebrate Scott/Gaga's birthday.

We took dads Fiat to the park.

Not sure if I have mentioned Carter's obsession with cars yet on the blog. He is in LOVE!!!! He loves everything car related and he almost always has a monster truck in hand. Anytime we see anything from the Disney movie Car's he freaks out. The other day when he saw a pillow at Costco with Lightening McQueen on it I thought he was going to jump out of the cart. We also got him on video when Spencer played the movie on our TV it was quite the sight! While at the park Papa took Carter over to play in the Fiat, he was in heaven.

Carter enjoying a bath in Nana and Papa's huge awesome sink!

Nana watched the kids so that we all could go.....

Rafting! It was so much fun!

Uncle Scott/Gaga (that is what Aubrey calls him) turned 26 yesterday. Aubrey picked out a really cute card that she was so excited to give him. Happy Birthday Scott! We love you!

When we got back to Merced we went on a family trip to the zoo.

Have I said how much I love 3 day weekends! We had a blast having daddy home and being with our family.

Random Pictures

Two Fridays ago was Teddy Bear clinic at the library. Aubrey took Lilly for her annual checkup. I was happy to see one of my nurses that helped save my life, Hannah (first picture).

We have been enjoying some afternoons and early evenings outside. Aubrey is doing so good on her bike. She can go all the way down to the mail box and turn around and ride back all on her own.

The kids love to cuddle with daddy!

Poor Carter had the worst diaper rash ever last week. He spent many afternoons in the buff.

Day with Titi

Titi took a day off work back on Wednesday Aug. 24th to spend the day with us. We went out to lunch, went shopping and played at the mall.

It was very hot that day over 100 degrees so the kids had a blast cooling off in front of the mall.

We had a great day Titi!

Stan Thurston for Mayor

I have busy helping out with my boss, Stan Thurston's campaign and have forgotten to post pictures of all the events that my family and I have been at in the last month or so. We have decided on a logo so, for all the Merced folks out there get ready to see these signs hopefully everywhere very soon:

Back in August we were invited to the Merced Theater Gala Fundraiser. It was a fun, fancy no kids night. We enjoyed good food and dancing.

Friday August 26 was Stan's first fundraiser dinner. It was a tri-tip dinner at the Ag Museum. We raised over $4000.00.

Aubrey was a big help that night. She was in charge of mixing up the raffle tickets and picking the winners out.

Go Stan!!!!
