Day 6 of Vacation

Thursday June 9th California Adventure Land
In the past we have always gotten hopper passes but last October when we went with my parents we got one park per day passes and it worked out so much better so that is what we did this trip.  It's nice to have a full day devoted to one park so you are not running back and forth.  Since this was our only day in California Adventure we wanted to make it count and spend the whole day there.  We got there right when it opened and headed straight to Cars Land our favorite land for sure.
Since the line was actually short for racers we went straight there.  We also got fastpasses for later that day.  I think it's all of our favorite ride.
We then went over to the new Luigi ride which was a lot of fun.

After that dad talked us all into Tower of Terror.  It had been around 10 years since I went on that ride.  Spencer actually took aubrey back when she was 3 years old.  I was so mad! That was back when our Carter was still napping so I took him to the hotel.  While he was napping and I was relaxing I got a text picture with my little 3 year old girl on Tower of Terror! I was going to kill Spencer! She was scared of people with black hair for like a whole year after that ride.  Well now she is 8 and she said she was ready to ride it again and Carter was surprisingly excited to try it.  I was the nervous one this time around.
We all survived but decided not to go on that one again for a while.
It was then time for Monster Inc.
Such a fun area.
We found out on that ride that we needed fast passes for the new Frozen broadway show.  I thought we could just go to the show but of course not you need a fast pass that was all sold out by 9am! We were told we could stand in a standby line but there was no garentee that you would get a seat.  Since this was such a big thing new attraction it was a must on our list so we stood in line for 2 hours.  It was amazing and well worth the wait.

After the show we headed over to Little Mermaid ride.

and then a yummy treat!
I was so excited to finally get to meet Daisy Duck with the kids! She is my favorite and we have never got to meet her before.

It was then time for our Fastpasses on Racers.

We then did a couple rides in the Bugs Life area.
are feet were offically done by this point so we decided to leave the park and have dinner at the CheeseCake Factory which was right across the street from our hotel.  It was so yummy!
Then back to our hotel.  Carter worked on his new car set to put together.

Our hotel was awesome we even got towel animals every day.
We watched a movie in bed and then went out on our porch to watch the fireworks we had a great view.  We got a good night sleep that night and then were back at it in the morning.  Hard to believe the next day was the last full day of vacation!

Day 5 of Vacation

Wednesday June 8th DISNEYLAND!
The best feeling ever is waking up and knowing you get to go to Disneyland that day! We all woke up early very excited.  We got ready had a yummy hot breakfast and headed to the park.  We made it there first thing in the morning.  The trick of Disneyland is being there right when they open and to run to all your favorite rides and get fast passes for all the big rides.  The weather was perfect that day and we were all so excited.

The kids were up for every ride.  Our first ride was the Matterhorn.  The kids loved it.  Carter was tall enough for everything in Disneyland this trip.  Aubrey was trying to show her Independence again and wanted to ride alone.  We found out quickly to ride alone in Disneyland you have to be 7 so even though Crater was tall enough he still needed a grown up with him.  I liked still feeling needed haha.
We ran around and hit most all the rides in Fantasyland since that land always gets crowded in the afternoon.

Then we went over to the new Star Wars temporary area while they build the new land.  It was really cool to explore.  We did that while we waited for our fast passes to be ready for Space Mountain.
It had been like 10 years since I went on that ride.  I was a little scared that Carter would fly out since he is as light as a feather but we he did good.  This picture is horrible and we don't even look like us well Spencer does but the other three of us look really funny.

We made it over to my favorite area Adventure Land and New Orleans.  Jungle Cruise is always our favorite.
and pirates and the haunted mansion and pooh and and and.......everything!
It was time for lunch and I really wanted to try the famous Disneyland Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans.

It did not disappoint! It was the best sandwich I have ever had!

After our incredible lunch we met a few characters.

We then decided it was time for a swim break and nap so we went back to the hotel for a couple hours.

Then we got ready and headed back in. We got lots of treats that afternoon.  We rode a few more rides. We didn't do the parades this day since we thought we would save them for our last day.  It baffles me that people sit and save their spots for the parade 3-4 hours before the parade starts! Talk about a waste of your Disneyland time.
We did Splash Mountain that night.

the kids sure love all the shops!
It was getting pretty crowded and we were all tired so we decided to head back to the hotel for a pizza night in the room.  This was the fence that we would climb over to get to our room lol! We could walk around but we decided this was faster.

It was fun just relaxing in our room eating pizza.  From our room you could see the fireworks so we went out on our porch that night and enjoyed the show.
