St.Patrick's Day 2015

I really think one of my favorite holidays is St. Patrick's day! I love all the green, rainbows, leprechauns, and being Irish.  This year I didn't make the shirts for the kids I ended up buying them.  I thought they were to cute to pass up.
Another first this year was that we made a Leprechaun trap.  The kids were so excited to make this and to trap a Leprechaun.
St. Patrick's day finally came and the kids rushed down the stairs to see the Leprechaun but all that was left was his foot prints, some chocolate coins and a note saying "You didn't catch me, this time"  We found out that the Leprechaun was bigger than we thought by the size of his foot steps so we will need to make a bigger trap next year.

For breakfast we had lucky charms
and I packed Aubrey a very festive green lunch.

I joke and say I must have been on drugs when I planned this day because it was the busiest day ever.  As you will see! I hosted Joy school, had a joy school party, worked in Aubrey's class, had 3 of Aubrey's friends over for a mini party and ran 3 miles that morning before it all started! It was a VERY busy day but so much fun! Seeing my kids so happy made me so happy.
At joy school we made leprechaun hats and did some lucky charm science. We also colored a Leprechaun face and learned a dance and song.

I loved watching the kids perform their little song and dance it was very cute!
At 11am all the moms and siblings came for the party.  We played Bingo and find the 4 leaf clover in the house.
We had a Leprechaun hunt outside with a photo booth area.

I love my little Irish Man!
We then had lunch.  It was a potluck lunch.  So festive and cute!!!

Then we let the kids play while we all visited it was very nice.  I wish we could have visited more but Carter and I had to leave to go to Aubrey's school.
We made green milk and had cookies and milk.  It was really low key which was nice.
Then we packed up the car with Kendall, Aubrey, Kyrah, Mia and Carter for another party at home!
It was a PARTY! These girls are so much fun! They ran around played like crazy and just enjoyed being girls.  I love the friends Aubrey has made!!

When it was time for snack we had cupcakes and green juice.

We then played Bingo and the girls took turns hiding the Leprechaun cards and finding them.

It was an awesome day!!! Everyone was picked up by 5 and then daddy came home.  I was going to do our corn beef and cabbage that night but good thing I thought that through and we did that the Sunday before.  St. Patrick's Day daddy picked up a pizza and we all enjoyed that until he had to leave for a meeting and the kids and I crashed on the couch.
Here was our corn beef night:
For dessert we made green chocolate chip cookies.
The St. Patrick's Day parade up next......

We survived daddy being away!

We sure missed daddy when he was on his business trip to Colorado.  We manged to have fun the 3 of us.  We sure did not eat healthy:
TV dinner night:
pizza picnic while we watched a Barbie and Lego movie:
It's funny how the majority of the family was home but I didn't want to cook since dad wasn't home.  The kids slept in our room with me the whole time.  Aubrey in the bed with me and Carter made his own little bed on the ground.  I thought it was so cute how he made his bed every morning.
The weather was great which meant lots of park days.
Daddy came home Saturday March 7th but really late that night so I was thrilled when mom felt up to meeting us for a day in Modesto.  We did a little shopping at the Disney store before we meet up with the family at BJ's.
Doesn't Carter look like the kid in Jerry Maguire?
Papa was so awesome to take the kids to the park after lunch so nana, titi and I could do some shopping.
This was Nana's first big outing since her hip surgery so we were so excited to be with her and shop.  After a day of shopping the kids and papa came back to mall to play in the fountains.

It was a very fun day and a nice treat to get away.  That night the kids and I stayed up until Spencer got home after 10pm.  We were so happy to see him.  It was hard having him away but I think it's getting easier that the kids are getting older.  It felt like a mini vacation with just the kids and me.   I'm grateful that he doesn't have to travel that often though.
Nana bought Aubrey the cutest dress:
And Carter his favorite new shirt that I have to bribe him to get it off.
as you will see in all future posts he has his new shirt on!
