April 2019

April was for sure a baseball kind of month for us! Carter is now kid pitch age! He is officially in little league now.  It was crazy how fast baseball came this year we were still in basketball when baseball started.
We are so lucky that dad likes to coach! He gives up so much of his time to volunteer and we are so proud of him for that.  Spencer decided to do Yankee's again which makes it 3 years in a row! It's nice because I don't have to buy any new fan gear!
Tuesday April 2nd was our first game....
The boys did great and tied that night.  It was a huge adjustment going from coach pitch to kid pitch.
I sure love my baseball player!
We had some time to do an Easter craft...
Aubrey got her April slime kit....

Since basketball was over and Carter was doing baseball we had Aubrey decide what she wanted to do so she took a month long art class in downtown Merced.  She loved it and I had fun walking around downtown during her class.  This day I checked out the new candy store and surprised her with a chocolate frog after class...
Friday April 5 was Carter's piano recital.  He did great! So fun to see how much he has learned! He even wrote his own song!

 Carter loves his instructor, Walker.

Saturday April 6th was a big In-Shape cycle event that I signed Spencer up to do with me.  We had a blast!

Our friends the Johnston's also did it...
Later that day Nana and Titi came down to Merced to spoil me for a day! They took me to lunch at Jantz and then we went shopping it was such a fun treat!
Sunday the 7th we went over to the Johnston's for brunch, conference and some light saver battles...
That night Carter made us some cookies...
Nana bought the kids some cute shirts...
Monday April 7th I ran my first half marathon and I was super impressed that one I got through it but two my splits were pretty amazing for doing my first 1/2!

That night Mylia, Letty and I went to a paint night and out to dinner..

 Carter and I enjoying downtown!

April 12-13th was Jr. Olympics here in Merced.  It was such a fun huge event!
Friday the 12th Carter got to miss half of school and I took him to the track he ran the 800 that day.

It was such a neat experience watching him run I was so proud of him!
He did amazing! 7 out of 25 runners!

That night Carter was invited to a birthday party...
so we took Aubrey out on a date to dinner and the mall!
Saturday April 13th Carter had to run the 1200 (1 mile).  It was pretty hot that day and I was getting more and more nervous for him when I saw a little girl puke but he said he had it and still went for it!
He finished like a champ! He ran the whole way and never stopped!
He got 6th out of 30 boys that day!
Look at that time! Under 7 min mile! He is amazing!
I was beyond proud and caught myself tearing up while I watched him! I was really proud of what he did that day!  Since he was preparing for this track meet I had him eating really healthy so when I asked him what he wanted to eat after of course his answer was chicken nuggets from McDonald's.
Dad and Aubrey couldn't make it to the track meet that day because she had a concert in the park at the library.  I was sad to miss her playing but heard she did an awesome job!
