Thanksgiving 2016

We are so blessed to all be together for Thanksgiving this year.
Top row: Aunt Pat, Aunt Shelly, Scott, Uncle Steve, Diana, Spencer
bottom row: Aubrey, Laura, mom, dad, Carter and me
We haven't had a had a holiday with the extended family in a long time due to some family stuff so it felt good to be all together and share in such a special day of being grateful.
Our Thanksgiving started off in Merced with cinnamon rolls and The Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.  Then we packed the car and headed to the mountains.
When we got there we had a beautiful memorial ceremony for my grandpa.  We planted a tree and Spencer conducted a wonderful service.  We then got to share memories.  It was very special and intimate.  It was a sweet closer.  I love looking at the tree we planted and think of my grandpa Merv.

After our service we took some family pictures all together.

The lake my parents live on is beautiful!

After all the pictures we all just visited and ate lots of yummy hors d'oeuvres.  Diana had brought the kids a really cool little piano that they have been having a blast with.
The kids had fun at their kid table drawing turkeys.
Dad made the best turkey like always!
and mom decorated so beautifully!

Laura made some killer pies! My dessert plate was ridiculous.
After the best meal ever we went a did little a black Friday shopping.  Titi bought a new TV and we helped her set it up that night.
Friday morning we went to the most adorable Christmas craft fair in Sonora.  This has become our annual tradition and I just love it! It was fun to do it with the whole family this year.
The kids first Santa visit of the season

They have so many interesting crafts for sale.  The kids and Papa really loved these metal statues.

 How cute is this...
Then it was time for the annual magic show.  We see this couple every year and every year they have a new act.  They are great and keep us laughing the entire time.  We were Lucky to not only have Aubrey and Carter asked to volunteer but also dad, Papa and Nana.  It was fun being so part of the show.  Carter even made $5 being part of it!

After the fair we went to a really yummy late lunch and then over to Laura's for some cookies and hot chocolate before we headed down the street for the Christmas parade.

Sonora's Christmas parade is so awesome! It's almost like a Disneyland parade but in a small town.  It was great and got us so in the spirit of Christmas

After the parade we went back to Nana and Papa's for some Thanksgiving part 2 and then played games.  It was a great Thanksgiving 2016 we feel so blessed!
