It's hard to believe another basketball season has come and gone. We had a blast this year. It was a fun and new experience having daddy as the coach of both teams this year. We have all good memories and can not wait for the next year. Here are the cutest players ever....
The only complaint that I do have is the weird team photos they do!! You can't even make out the kids faces!
The last game was on Saturday March 11th. Carter's team had almost every game at 8am so it was always a very early start to the day. Spencer did an amazing job with these boys! It was a hard age group and some kids this was their first time holding a basketball so it was a challenge. but he did great and the all had so much fun.
Nana, Papa and Titi drove down super early to make it to both the kids games that day it was such a sweet treat to have them.
Aubrey's team was amazing. There were a few games that I was on the edge of my seat screaming.
Coach Spencer was unbelievable! He was such a wonderful coach. He put his heart and soul into both teams. He loved every one of his team players and should compassion and love to each of them. I was really proud of him and I can't wait to cheer on the sidelines for more of his teams.
All the girls on Aubrey's team really became friends and the three coach's also. We were sad to say good buy this great group of girls. We hope to see them all next year.
After the games that day Coach Spencer put together a fun pizza party for Team Storm at the Pizza Factory. I helped with the little decoration touches but he planned the whole party.
We played a fun get to know you ball game that we did at Aubrey's pizza party earlier in the season. The boys loved it!
Then Spencer handed out a trophy to each kid. This was so sweet of him! He didn't need to do that and we used our own money for the kids to all get a trophy. It just brightened all of their faces and I know will be a keepsake that they all will treasure.
Since Aubrey's head coach didn't do trophy's we made sure to get her one too and surprise her with it.
I'm so glad Carter got to play with his best friend Cord this year!
After the games and party we came home to chill and then mom, titi and I went to Hobby Lobby.
It was a fun Saturday.
The next day Sunday March 12th was the Upward end of the season celebration. This is when they announce each team and get a gift. They also have a motivational speaker for the kids.
She was an amazing women from Alaska that could do so many treaks with basketballs. Her message was to always look up to God for help. It was really sweet and the kids just loved it!
One day at school was team sport day and I loved how cute the kids looked!
and there you have it the end of 2017 basketball season! It was a blast!!
