Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Friday October 21st was Carter's first grade field trip to the pumpkin patch.  Daddy went on this trip with Aubrey when she was in first grade so I was excited to get to go with Carter.
It was a walking trip to the pumpkin patch at Merced college.  The first grade teachers did a fabulous job setting it all up.  When we first arrived we all took a break after the mile and half walk and had a juice and cookie then the kids got split into their classes.  There where 2 stations.  The first one for Carter's class was face painting and coloring a bag to bring their pumpkin home in.  The second station was picking a pumpkin.  This was a cool patch because you had to cut your pumpkin off the vine.  The second station was eating pumpkin pie while listening to two watches read stories.  It was a super cute event and we all had lots of fun!

Bryce and Carter

Trying to get a group shot was so hard! Of course Carter was in his own world hiding in the back.

The witches were very intersting but the stories were cute.
Carter and one other girl were the only ones not to try the pumpkin pie.  I hope he grows out of this picky stage!

That night we were excited to be invited to a fun Harry Potter Party at our friends the Callister's new house.  It was fun kind of dressing up and being with friends.

Oh how I love October!
