We got to host Easter this year for the Supinger side. We hosted it on Saturday the 4th. Friday night we got a text from Spencer's sister that his mom (grandma) was having a hard time breathing and that she was in the emergency room. Not the text you want to get!! We were super scared and were close to packing up and heading to Hayward right away. But mom got checked into the hospital and got oxygen and was being taken good care of. We were going to postpone the party but mom was prescient that the party still go on. It didn't feel the same not having her or dad here. Also Spencer's sister and Angie, Brian's wife didn't come so it didn't feel like the typical Supinger party.
I made my carrot cake and some other fun desserts.
Spencer made a yummy tri-tip, bbq asparagus, my strawberry salad and then everything else was potluck stuff that the other families brought. It was very yummy and the cousins loved there time together.
We had a huge egg hunt in the backyard followed by a money hunt.
We also celebrated the March-May birthdays. Carter was happy he was on the birthday list this party!
Mom is home now and recuperating. She got some new medications and now has oxygen at home if she needs it. We hope to see her either this weekend or next.
