Aubrey's 11th Birthday Party

Aubrey was so excited to plan her 11th birthday.  Her theme she decided on this year was flamingo.  She wanted a sleep over again this year so we did a sleep over/stay late for those who don't do sleep overs.  Her guest list kept growing and we were up to 11 girls! It was perfect since she was turning 11.  She was very adamant about no grown-up (except dad and I).  So we did a family party the next weekend.   We had so much fun looking on-line and around town for anything Flamingo.

I was pretty impressed with my baking and decorating skills...
also we found a flamingo cookie cutter at Michael's and the cookies came out awesome!

For the party favor we made chocolate flamingos...
The idea for the party favor bag came to me in a dream and it came out so cute!
For the meal Aubrey thought of a McDonald's feast and it was a big hit!
Okay onto the party......

Lylah, Mia G., Kayla, Violette H., Mia C., Kayla, Chloe, Aubrey, Carrie, Violette W., Elise, and Presley! 12 girls all together.  Everyone stayed the night except for 3 so we had a house full!
enjoying dinner...

 gift time!
 Charades time...
and then they played hide and go seek..
Then it was craft time.  They all got to decorate their first letter in their names

Then we had a how well do you know Aubrey game and we made flamingos.
Then cake time...

Then they all watched Gnomeo and Juliet.  Aubrey thought it was a perfect movie to match her flamingo theme since it was about garden decorations.
It was about 10 pm now so I made them go down stairs and set up their beds.  They started playing a balloon flight..

Then they told stories and made funny videos.
That went on unto around 2am!!! I feel a sleep but they just kept going!
8am came really fast the next morning...
Since it was a Sunday girls were getting picked up fairly early but we still had a pretty big group for pancakes and sausage that morning...
As girls were getting picked up Spencer did some magic tricks to the ones waiting...
Once the last girl was picked up it looked like a hurricane had come through our house.  We all worked to together to clean up.  We had to get ready pretty quick since we went out to Stockton that day to celebrate Spencer's brother getting called to Bishop.  Aubrey's party was amazing! We had a great time and she will have that fun memory for a life time.  All her friends are so sweet and kind.  I couldn't ask for a better group of girls to be Aubrey's friends.  We sure love parties around here!
