Last Day of school

Thursday June 7th was the kids last day of school! How do these years just go so fast?!???!!
This was a great school year.  It was extra special because I was there everyday with them!
This was the first year that Aubrey was pretty independent.  I didn't have a set day to volunteer in her class but I still manged to sneak in and help out a little.  She LOVED Mrs. Taylor and looked foreword to school almost every day.  She hated missing school this year.  She started to have friend drama this year which was hard to deal with at times.  She did great in all her school work and got all 4's in every subject.  She even was the only kid to get 100% in her class on one really hard math test.  She was very involved in student council and I think that has helped her get more comfortable speaking in public.  Aubrey hardly had any homework this year so I'm a little worried what next year might bring since we got so use to doing what ever we wanted after school. Her choice was lots of slime making! Aubrey continues to take school very seriously and can't wait to be even more of a big kid next year in 5th grade!
Carter really grew up in 2nd grade this year.  Mrs. Haar is a much more strict teacher than Ms. Buttery was so he learned fast that he couldn't stand up and walk around anytime he wanted.  We had a couple hiccups with behavior this year but as for his school work he did excellent.  Carter loves to read and would read a chapter book a day.  The library staff love him and he loves going there.  I was able to help out in his class on Fridays and I hope that I can do that next year when he is in Mrs. Carter's class! (How cool to have a teacher with the same name as you!!) Carter also got amazing grades and passed the GATE test.  I can't believe he will be a 3rd grader next year.  He is growing so fast!
I made my annual sign and goodies for the kids for when they got home that day...

 School's out for summer!!!!!!!

They were so excited! Me too! Let the fun times roll!!
That night our friends the Chu's and Spain's invited us to the fair.  We had a lot of fun looking at stuff, eating junk and riding a couple rides!

 ran into a couple friends..

Carter got to do a free game! The game guy asked him to go get him a water and he would give Carter a free game so of course Carter did it!
What a fun night! Yay for summer!!
