Friday October 16th was our California Adventure day. The kids, Spencer and myself got a little head start that morning. It was a good thing because we were able to grab some fast passes to Raider Springs. It crazy after 2 years that ride is still so popular. All the fast passes were sold out by about 10am we got ours at 9:30 and we had to wait until 6pm to ride it! That ride was our number one goal that day. Carter has been dying to ride it and if you can remember our last trip he was just an inch shy of being able too. We even brought boots in hopes to get on it. It was pretty hard to tell him he was going to have to wait until the night time to ride it. He asked us about a dozen times if it was it 6pm yet. I actually wanted to just brave the 90 minute wait but Spencer didn't really want to waist our time which is understandable when we only had one day in this park. When Spencer ran to get the fast passes the kids and I met Oswald. We were excited for a new character that we have not met yet.
Then we did a quick walk through Carsland and that's when we debated to wait the wait.
Once we decided not to we headed over to meet Olaf. He was adorable!!
Carter wasn't to sure about him.
After that we rode Monsters Inc. and then went to the Frozen sing a long show. We were so excited that the gang texted us that they were in the park so we saved seats and got to enjoy the show all together. It was a very good show. The kids and the grown ups all loved it. We all sang the whole time.
The end was really special when it snowed.
After the show we headed over to the Little Mermaid ride and that right after that our fast passes were ready to met Anna and Elsa. Since Carter wasn't into that he, Nana and Papa went to Carsland to play and hang out and Titi, Spencer, Aubrey and I went to meet the princesses. The fast passes were awesome it only took us 5 minutes and then we were meeting them. I was remembering how we once waited 2 hours to met Rapunzel so this was a much more efficient way.
Aubrey loved it! She liked Anna more then Elsa. She said Elsa looked fake but Anna was the real Anna. I have to agree with her. Elsa had some attitude while Anna was just so sweet and a delight to met.
After that we ran into Doc McStuffins.
Then we headed to Carsland to met up with the gang.
Carter was just in heaven!!!
We had a nice lunch at Flo's Diner. We sat outside watching Radiator Springs. After lunch we watched the new Dinosaur movie that is in the old Bugs life movie theater. It was a really cute show and got us excited for the movie coming out at Thanksgiving time. Then we hung out in the Bugs Land.
Enjoying a cotton candy treat before bumper cars.
We had over headed that they had zip lining in the Wildness area so we wanted to go check it out. It was a nice quite place to let the kids play while we relaxed and watched. We were also waiting for our fast passes for soaring over California so it was a great time filler place to play. Carter demanded to wear flip flops the entire trip. When we went to do the rock climbing wall and they said he couldn't do it in flip flops he was devastated. Daddy had the great idea for him to borrow Aubrey's shoes so he was able to still do it. The next day he wore his sandals again but made sure I packed his shoes in the stroller that day just in case.
It was finally time for our souring over California ride. We all love this ride. It was so much fun flying all together.
We then watched the Pixor parade and did some shopping. Carter picked out a light sabber that day. After the parade we headed back to Carsland.
The wait was finally over and it was time for Radiator Springs. Carter was so excited!!! It's kind of weird that only 6 fit in a car. We decided that dad and I would go together and all the others would go in a car together. I was excited to get a picture of their excited faces.
We all got off that ride with huge smiles. It was awesome! It was a perfect time the sun was just setting so the lights were coming on but we still had the sun shinning on the mountains. It was really cool. After the ride we walked around a little more enjoying the lights.
It was about 7pm at this time and we had been in the park all day and we were all pretty tired and hungry. We decided to go out and have dinner in Down town Disney but that later changed when we realized how crowded it was out there. We decided that we all needed a more relaxing night so we ordered pizza to the room and had a early night in. It was a great day in California Adventure. I wish we had more time we didn't even really get to the Pier area. It felt like we had more walking this day since everything is all spread out. I do feel like we got a lot of time in the Cars, bugs, and Hollywood lands which were all awesome. Another fabulous day at Disneyland!!
