Sonora

Two weekends ago Aunt Pat came over to our house Friday night and then we all went up to Sonora for Saturday and Sunday for a fun family father's day celebration. Friday night we went out to dinner to String's. Carter loves lemons he actually starts to get mad if we don't give it to him as soon as our water shows up. After we give it to him he puts it straight in his mouth and does the cutest bitter face ever. I tried to capture it on camera but didn't really have any luck but this is still cute.

My parents new house is BEAUTIFUL!!! I feel like I'm at a luxury hotel when staying there. It is in a great location with an awesome view. Their home is very welcoming. The kids and us have our own area down stairs and it is just perfect. The kids have so much to do which is great. Papa put their swing under the deck now so we can all sit and visit and watch them swing.

Papa surprised Aubrey with this adorable princess life jacket. Now they can go out on the lake!

We celebrated Father's day at lunch. We love you dad very much!

Then Aubrey got ready for a kayak ride with papa and titi.

We went out to dinner to a fun burger joint in Twain Heart

We came back home for our first campfire and had yummy smors.

After our nice campfire we came in for what we thought would be a relaxing night. We started to get ready to watch a movie when all of sudden we heard what sounded like a smoke detector. Dad and Spencer went looking around and out on the deck. The neighbors house had smoke and they could see flames from the window. Dad, Spencer, Aunt Pat and Uncle Scott rushed to put their shoes on and were off while mom and I called 911. Spencer ran into the neighbors house to check if anyone was in there and sure enough the lady that owned it was there. He checked to see if she was okay and then started to fight the fire with his sweatshirt and pails of water. Then Scott got the hose and they stopped the whole fire. The fire dept. finally arrived, but by then the fire had been put out. We are so grateful that everyone was kept safe in this very scary situation. It was truly a miracle and I'm so happy that I have such a brave family.
After all that craziness we had a nice night. For breakfast dad made his famous french toast.

Then we went to the park.

While we were at the park Spencer made his award winning tri-tip sandwiches for dinner and we had ice cream cones for dessert. What a wonderful weekend!!!
