First week of December

We are in full Christmas spirit around here these days! Frosty the Elf appeared on Friday December 1st.  He brought the kids new Christmas shirts.  We were excited to start our advents this day.

After the kids woke up that day they both were complaining of sore throats and even Deuce was sick! We declared it a sick day.  It was fun hanging out at home making Christmas crafts and watching Home Alone!

That night we were feeling better so we all got ready and met dad at the mall to see Santa and then to dinner.  The kids loved this Santa! Aubrey said he was so nice! He asked her what she wanted and she said another American girl doll and a vet set for her.  He said that most girls her age want boring make-up and that he was happy she still loves dolls and that she is so beautiful she doesn't need make up.  It was really cute! Santa also gave them a card to use in the arcade which they thought was the coolest thing ever!

Saturday the 2nd we spent the day cleaning and getting ready for our white elephant party with our friends that night.  We did venture out for lunch and a couple errands.
Instead of the ladies ornament party this year I decided it would be fun to do a couples white elephant party.  We invited a few of our favorite couple; The Chu's, Spains, Johnsons, Harrisons and Callisters.  We had a great time.  The food was yummy, the gifts were hilarious and the company was awesome.  We want to make this a new annual party for sure!

Sunday December 3rd I worked on writing all our Christmas cards

Monday December 4th was activity days.  I did an activity on the true meaning of the season.  We read some wonderful quotes and scriptures.  Then we watched a cute video with kids reacting the Christmas story.  Then we made baby Jesus ornaments and enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate.

That night Spencer stayed in Visalia for business so I took the kids out to Bob Cat Diner for dinner.  They love that place!
It became even cooler when the waitress brought over toys for them!
Tuesday December 5th the kids left their shoes out for the elf and on Wednesday December 6th they were surprised to find toys and treats!
 We have one fun Elf!
Also that day Auntie came to visit for a couple nights.  We love having her here!
After school treat at Yogulcious!
That night we went to Jantz for dinner and watched a fun Christmas show.
Thursday December 7th after school we took the kids to Coco it was so cute!

Friday the 8th I volunteered in Carter's class. We made really cute penguins.

I think the elf is trying to tell us to walk Deuce more!
Saturday December 9th we took the kids up to Turlock for some shopping and ice skating! We had a blast! Both Aubrey and Carter love to skate like me! Daddy likes to take pictures and bring us hot chocolate and treats!

We went at a perfect time! We had an hour in the day light and then an hour at night to skate.
After skating for 2 hours you really work up an appetite so we went over to Olive Garden for dinner.
Then we went to Oxford Lane to see the lights.  It was really cool!

Sunday December 10th was my parents 40 year wedding anniversary.  So amazing! I love that we have such awesome parents to look up too.
At church that day we found a fun train in the gym that Carter had fun playing on.
We had a nice relaxing afternoon!
