Bear came to visit!

After the 100th day of school we got to take the classroom pet hamster home for the weekend.  His name is Bear and he is adorable! He is very good with the kids and it was just a joy to have him live with us for a few days.

We all loved to hold and play with him.  It reminded me of all the pet hamsters I had growing up.

Friday night was also the father/daughter girl scout dance.  Aubrey and her daddy looked so cute together.  The had fun dancing that night.  They were not that impressed with the dinner this year :( I guess it was soup and bread.  Last year they had a huge tri-tip dinner so they had high expectations this time around.  After the dance they went to the mall to walk around.  Aubrey got the cutest penguin earrings and they enjoyed an ice cream together.  They had a great night.

Carter and I had a nice date night too.  We went to McDonald's for dinner and then came home for him to teach me the new Lego game on the WiiU.  Carter is so good! Like really good at that game I had to have him do most of it because I could not figure it out.
Saturday we did our normal errands and played most of the day with Bear.

Deuce really liked Bear he would chase the ball around and Bear didn't seem to mind.

We thought it would be fun to get some pictures of Bear playing in the toys for her poster that she would make on Sunday.

Deuce would get pretty jealous of Bear when I was holding him or playing with him.
Don't worry Deucie we still love you and take pictures of you too!
Bear even got to play in the Barbie dream house.

 and go for a ride.
Oh no Deucie licking his lips, lol!
Aubrey did so good taking care of him and checking his food and water.

She was a nice sister and let him sleep in Carter's room one of the nights.
We attempted to make Bear his own little tie for church.  We thought it would be funny for her poster but decided later not to put it on since maybe putting something around his neck is not a good idea or something to teach the kids.
Sunday afternoon we cleaned his cage and packed him up to take him back to school the next day.
Sunday Aubrey also made this poster to bring to school.
It was a great weekend with Bear.  We all missed him when he had to go back.

I have been meaning to post this picture of Carter and his dinosaur he made.
Aubrey made a butterfly.  Spencer bought these cute crafts for the kids to do and they are just too cool!
