March 22nd was our cousin, Jane's wedding in Sacramento. We have not been to a wedding in a long time so this was a nice treat to get dressed up and see family that we don't get to see very often. It was super fun because we made a weekend out of it and got to stay at a hotel with our family of 4, Nana, Papa and Titi. We stayed at the Residence Inn and it was fabulous!! It was a suite so we had a kitchen and living room between the 2 bedrooms. It was plenty of space for us all but still felt like a sleep over. The hotel had an indoor pool and spa which we enjoyed a couple of times and the best breakfast buffet oh and not to mention the yummiest homemade cookies in the evening. Also on our trip we introduced Nana and Papa to Chick Fil A which they now love. I sure hope we can get one in Merced one day!
I thought it was so cute Aubrey dressing her brother before the wedding....
The ceremony was sweet and Jane looked so happy.
It was a long ceremony so we were happy that Carter decided to nap.
I was pretty excited with how my family coordinated for the event.
Here is family picture. It was taken with a cell phone so its not the best.
Carter was the man on the dance floor. He was a great dancer!!
We all enjoyed some dancing time.
It was a beautiful wedding. We loved visiting and being together as family. The next morning was a brunch at our Aunt Sharon and Uncle Don's house just for the family. It was nice to have a more intimate celebration and getting to watch the bride and groom open all their gifts before they left on their honeymoon. After brunch Nana, Papa, Titi and the 4 of us went to.....
So much fun!!!!! The kids defiantly deserved a nice treat for being so good at all the family events. This was an ice cream place my parents use to go to as kids so it brought back lots of memories for them.
We decided on the pig trough, clown kid sundaes and a brownie truffle. It was AMAZING!!! The pig trough was huge. So good we couldn't stop.
After you finish the pig trough they come to your table and call you a pig, sing a song and you get a ribbon. It was hilarious. The kids loved it, Aubrey was smiling from ear to ear it made our day!
It was a great end to a perfect weekend. My dad gave us the ribbon for our scrapbook and I have had it on our table the last few weeks when ever we have a visitor Aubrey tells them the story about papa eating the pig trough.
