The last week of school before spring break was a party week! Wednesday April 16th I got to go to Aubrey's class Easter party. It was also PJ and crazy hair day at Peterson that day so that is why they are all their PJ's.
Aubrey's homework assignment the night before was to find something that could fit in a plastic egg and write 3 clues. Then the whole class got to go into the other kindergarten classes and read the clues and see if the other students could guess what it was.
Thursday April 17th was the last day of school, yay! It was Carter's preschool Easter party that day.
These where the treats I made the kids.
Thursday night we had Kendall over for a sleep over. It was a ton of fun!
Ice cream, video games,
nails,
and a movie!
Friday April 18th it felt so good to sleep in!!! If you call (7:30am sleeping in!) We made pink pancakes for breakfast.
Then we went to a friends Easter egg hunt party at the park.
I don't think we could ask for better weather, it has been just beautiful here! After the park we headed home for lunch and a little more play time with Kendall. We finally bit the bullet and bought the play structure we have been eyeing at Costco for 2 years. Here are the kids eating in the half put up structure.
Here is the finished product.....
Oh what a job! I was a little mad that I didn't get any building pictures but I was just so determined to build this with Spencer my time went to sorting all the wood, hard wear and tools out for each step. There were I think 38 steps and most had 3 to 4 parts. We bought it on Tuesday. Spencer organized the wood that night. Started building Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and we both worked 8am-3pm on Saturday and it was done. It was so fun working on it with my hubby we were a great team. The kids LOVE it!!! Saturday they played on it 8am-8pm. Anytime we are home they are back and forth in and out it's great. Also we had a rainy day last Friday and that didn't even stop them they were in their rain coats and boots playing on it. It's a lot fun and we are so happy that we could do this for the kids :)
