Thursday 2/21 was a fun day at sea. We spent most of the day in either our work out clothes or swim suits. We ate lots and had fun having no set schedule that day. We had been playing in the arcade on and off the entire trip and had no idea that they have half off games on the days at sea for an hour so when we did find that out we went crazy and dad and Aubrey finally won the stuffed animal they had been trying to win for so long....
Our room Stuart has been so fun and awesome to us....
We went to some random magic show that was pretty weird. Aubrey actually walked out half way through and went to play games. It was pretty lame.
That night was our last formal night.
Carter got his usual two orders of chicken nuggets....
After dinner we went and got into comfy clothes and the kids went to kids club while Spencer and I went to a show.
Day 7 Friday 2/22 was the worst day of our vacation. It was another "fun" day at sea. I woke up early to do my run and a cycle class while the kids were still sleeping. Spencer came up to the gym too a little later. While we were up there the ship was really rocking. We didn't have reception so there was no way for the kids to really get a hold of us. Through out our whole vacation we would go upstairs and work out while they slept in and there was no problem well not this time. When we came down to the cabin we walked in on poor Aubrey sick as a dog. She was miserable and I felt so bad. The rocking was getting worse and worse and then Spencer started to get sick! It was so bad I had to go out and find apples, toast and water just try and make them feel better and while out and about everyone on the ship was sick or looked sick! They even had throw up bags by the elevators. It was crazy how rough the water was! We spent the entire day in the room watching movies and resting. Every now and again Carter would feel better so he and I would venture out and check out what was going on. Since it was the last day the kids had to spend their tickets they had earned. So I had to take a picture to show Aubrey and then go back and spend her tickets for her it was so pitiful!
Around 9pm the had a fun ball drop that Carter and I made it to to watch. It was really neat we just wished our other half of the family could have come!
Day 8 Saturday 2/23 we arrived back to Long Beach. We all woke up feeling better and ready to get back home. Carter had been begging to get a picture with cruise director so I was happy it worked out on our way off the ship.
On our way home we stopped at the super cool ice cream place that makes your ice cream with nitrogen. The kids loved it.
We finally got home around 4pm that afternoon. It felt so good to be home. We had an amazing adventure and loved every minute (minus day 7). Traveling with our kiddos now a days is so much fun. We feel truly blessed that we were able to give them this fun experience!
Saturday night the flu bug got both Spencer and I! I thought what Aubrey had was sea sickness but now I think it was a bug because we got it bad that night and then Carter on Sunday! It was helpful to lose all the weight we might have put on on the cruise but it was not fun!!
