January sure cruised by!! Hard to believe it's now 2019!
January 1st is Titi's birthday and we always have a blast ringing in the New Year and celebrating Titi on that day! We all met for dinner at Olive Garden....
This winter break from school was amazing! We had a good 2 1/2 weeks off so it felt wonderful just relaxing and having fun!
Dad had to work that week but we got to enjoy lunch time with him most days. I love it because he comes home and makes lunch for all of us! Fresh sliced turkey sandwiches are amazing!
One of my new year goals is to read more. The kids got me "Girl Wash Your Face" a book I wanted for Christmas and I had lots of nice afternoons to read to myself while the kids also read their new books.
We went a few nature hikes that week...
I took them to the Nickle Arcade one day...
We painted....
I found time to met up with my guy a couple times at the gym. Wearing our new shirts with Spencer's company on it!
The kids wanted to do a sewing project so we made huge body pillows....
Aubrey's first monthly slime package from Nana and Papa came in the mail and she was so excited!
It came with so many neat things!

My new job at church is the monthly newsletter. I had fun designing and making the January one...
The kids were actually kind of excited to get back to school on 1/7. They got to wear some of their new clothes they got from Christmas and they were happy to see all their friends.
After school we went for a fro yo treat!
That night I made a fun new recipe from my Johanna Gains cook book from my dad. It was super yummy!
I also tried a new cookie recipe from there too!

1/9 was the first day of basketball practice for both kids. Wednesdays are nuts! We have Carter's practice 5-6 then he has cub scouts 6-7 and Aubrey's practice is 7-8! I'm excited to be an assistant coach to Spencer for Carter's team..
Friday 1/11 we went up to Twain Heart with friends to stay at the cabin. We had fun playing games, eating treats and talking all night.
Saturday 1/12 we got to see my parents and brother for lunch and then hurried home to get Dad and Aubrey ready for their Father Daughter dance with the girl scouts. It was a sock Hop theme this year....
They had a blast! They danced the night away, played games and had yummy tacos from a taco truck.
Carter and I were excited to have a mom and son date! We went to Taco Bell for dinner..
and to the new Spider man movie which was super good!
We are in full swing of cookie season now!
After church on 1/13 we made yummy beignets...
Friday January 18th we had a super fun family night out to see the Globe Trotters! It was so much fun! We got special tickets that let us get in early and play with the team a little and get autographs. It was super cool!
The game was hilarious! We all had so much fun!

Friday 1/25 Carter got to bring his blanket and pillow to school for a read a thon day...
I got to meet up with my mom that day for a fun brunch and shopping. We had a blast! I got this cute window for my mantel...
That night Spencer and I got to sneak out for a date night...
Saturday 1/26 was the first basketball games!
Carter's team, Sting did so awesome! We won!! The boys looked amazing out there.
We came home in between games for a break and to practice a little more...
Then we had Aubrey's game. Her team the Hurricanes won too! They did an amazing!
That night was Aubrey's best friend Kayla's party at Sky Walk in Fresno so her and I drove down for that.
The last week in January was crazy! I subbed in Aubrey's class Monday, Tuesday and Thursday!
I got to take Aubrey and Kayla out to lunch on Thursday.
Also on Thursday 1/31 it was the award ceremony.
Aubrey got Honor Roll..
and a very special award for knowing all 50 state and capitals. She had to know how to spell everything and where all the states were located. We are so proud!
We had to try the new Oreo's (The most stuffed!) so yummy!
Friday was technically February but I wanted to also add this to the post.
2/1 was Carter's award ceremony and he was so excited! He got 5 awards!!!!
The first one was Student of the month! We are so proud of you Carter!!
I subbed in first grade that day. We got to make butter.
Saturday 2/2 was a very crazy day! It started with basketball pictures...
Then Aubrey's game were they crushed the other team!
Aubrey got 2 of the baskets!
We played our neighbor which was fun...

Then it was time for party planning like crazy!
