Before we could even put the suitcases away we were packing them up again for another adventure. Spencer's niece, Staci was getting married on August 5th and since we had so much fun in Utah back in November the minute we received the save the date we booked our flights to go back. It's also such a fun treat to see the Utah families. Well after we booked our flights all the family in California decided to all go to Utah. So the wedding on the 5th quickly became a wedding and a huge Atkin side family reunion planned for the day before the wedding. Some of the California family drove to Utah and some of us flew. I so prefer flying!!!
We made it to the San Jose airport on Thursday August 3rd.
The funny thing is about 2 weeks before the trip we found out that Spencer's sister and family and his parents were on our same flight! Small world! The kids have loved sewing and had the idea to make their own airplane pillows.
Once we got to Utah Spencer's brother, David picked us up from the airport and we went straight to their house were about 40 other people came and we had a huge pizza and milk shake party. Carter was so happy to his cousin, Crew again!
David has a real milk shake maker and was making any kind of milk shake you can imagine.
Aubrey was in love with her double Oreo yummyless!
Kiana and Davie just got the cutest puppy and we all had fun holding and playing with him.
Angie is a Jazzecise instructor and loves every chance she has to try out new studios so she invited me to go with her to one in Salt Lake City on Friday morning at 5:45am!!! We had fun but it was not that much of a work out and I ended up running 3 miles when we got back to Farmington. It was still fun having time with my sis!
That afternoon before the reunion we went to Waffle Love for lunch and I fell in love! So yummy!
That afternoon was the reunion. We first all met up at the bowling alley. We took up almost all the lanes. I think our party was around 80 people!
After bowling we headed to the park for the dinner. Spencer's sister Terry set it all up! She is superwomen! She not only planned her daughters wedding she also organized this huge reunion.
This was the first time since our sister in law's, Carols funeral that all seven siblings and parents were together!
They are in order of birth!
Terry, Craig, David, Dad, Mom, Adam, Shellece, Brian and Spencer
The reunion was a lot of fun. We then went back to Davids and hung out and played with the puppy!
There were so many people there!! Thank goodness they have a huge house and we all had our own space! Living with like 10 teenage boys was crazy! Carter loved it!
Saturday August 5th we all wanted to do something fun before the wedding so we went to this huge rec center where they had everything! Basketball, swimming, water slides, diving, and us girls even did a Zumba class. So different doing Zumba in Utah then here in California. Lets just say in California we have a lot more Latin flavor!
my niece Brooklyn, Me, the instructor, Angie and Crystal (our nephew Brandon's wife)
After our active morning we had Cafe Rio for lunch and then got ready for the wedding. The wedding was at, "This is it." behind Brigham Young's farm house. It was a beautiful venue. We even got to ride a train around the pioneer village and see the Atkin's house which is Spencer's moms family line!
Waiting for the bride selfies!
Staci looked beautiful!
and look at my handsome boy!!
I loved her wedding style it was rustic yet classy.
I was so happy with how we all matched and fit the wedding colors. How beautiful are those mountains!
Cousins!
Uncle Steve had a fun drone that became the toy everyone wanted!
The train ride was really fun!
Aubrey and Noah are not sure how to act together lol!
It's awkward having a boy cousin the same age as you.
There was lots of lawn games for the kids which was fun!
The home was beautiful!
I was pretty proud of my photography skills on this pic...
Megan Spencer's niece is a professional photoragher so when she asked me to take their family photo I got super nervous! I'm so happy it came out good and she said she is using it for their Christmas card!
Brian and Angie's family
David and Carrie's family
The first dance.
Then it was time to attempt the huge family picture!
another sibling picture
Mom, Craig and our great niece.
It was a beautiful wedding! We had a nice time. It was really late when we got home and there was no kid friendly food so that was a bummer we did a midnight drive thru run!
Sunday August 6th off to church!
Brooklyn is just the sweetest! We all love her so much. Her husband Josh couldn't make it but we were so happy we got to be with her!
After church she cut grandma and grandpas hair for them.
And then we got ready for 50+ people to come over for Sunday dinner! By Sunday night I was in family overload. I was ready to come back to California on Monday!
Carter had fun being a gamer with all the big cousins.
The girls even fit in some hot tub time that night.
Staci and Brady gave all the family these cut little gifts!
Monday August 7th we were on our way home!
We feel so blessed to be part of such a big fun family. We had a blast!
