April 2020

April was our first official full month of quarantine!
We sure have lots of fun...
The kids wanted to make a nice message for the essential works to see...
On April first we did some more tadpole searching.  This time we planned to met up with Presley.
We got the call that day that school was out until summer.  At first I thought it was an April Fools joke but nope it's not.  I get to have my kiddos home until the next school year starts.  Aubrey was pretty sad about it at first. I was sad for her too. This was her last year of elementary school so it's sad that she has to miss out on that.  I just think how hard it is for seniors in high school.  No prom, no grad night, no graduation. It's really sad but needed to protect us all.  The virus is super scary and we need to all be safe and stay home.  I think even though Aubrey was sad at first I think she is happy to be home.  We all have a lot of fun together.
Dad can take breaks from his work and teach algebra which is awesome...
 The new office style...
Business on top and comfy on the bottom. Spencer has meetings on zoom through out the whole day.  He has stayed so busy and we are so grateful for his job.
Saturday April 4th and Sunday April 5th was general conference so we had our conference store...
Carter and I have been working on Yoda a lot...
Aubrey and I watch lots of movies together...

Aubrey does zoom calls with her friends...
Aubrey also takes the best pictures of Macy...
Dates have turned into going to Costco with masks on...
We like to do big shopping trips every other or every 3 weeks so we can reduce the time we are out in the public.
We love our homemade pizza dinners....

Having fun doing Easter crafts and projects...

 yeah we finished Yoda!
Movie theaters are closed so they are releasing the movies that would have come out to rent at home for $20 so on Friday April 10th the new Trolls movie came out.  I had ordered some fun Troll stuff to surprise the kids with a fun movie night home....

Saturday April 11th we had fun getting ready for Easter....

 making cookies...
 decorating eggs...

and getting ready for the Easter Bunny...

Sunday April 12th was Easter.  I think it really hit that day that we were in a pandemic.  It felt strange not having a Supinger party the day before or a Schillerstom party the day of. It was just going to be us all day.  I still wanted to make the day special for the kids.  I think they loved it! Their baskets were by their doors in the morning....

The Easter Bunny had come and left them lots of treats and a fun egg hunt...

One of my dads favorite things about Easter is Spencer's deviled eggs.  It was so cute because Spencer texted the recipe a couple days earlier so that my dad could have the supplies and then they did a facetime and made eggs together....

We had lots of yummy food even though it was just the four of us.
We got to do a big Supinger zoom party in the afternoon...
Then we had our Easter dinner.  It was cute because we did the Easter blessing over speaker phone with my family.

Then we did a zoom party with the Schillerstroms...
It was a fun Easter.  Different than any other year in the past but still fun
Since April 13-17 was spring break for the kids we kept to that schedule and just did lots of fun stuff.
Monday a long hike....

and a treat after hiking so much...
Aubrey has such a big shopkin collection!
Tuesday we did a long bike ride and got a treat....

 Aubrey loves making KoolAid...
 Thursday we planted a garden....

 and played in the sprinklers...
 The kids made Popsicle's..
I learned how to cut dad's hair...

 sleeping in...
 scooter rides....
 slime making....
 Homemade lemonade...
Monday April 20th back to school....

Tuesday April 21st was Earth Day so we painted rocks....

 and made dirt for dessert....

Once the rocks dried we took them and put them around the bike path.  It's been so cool because since we put painted rocks out so have a few other people.

Aubrey and dad made a swing for our tree in the front yard...

and we tie dyed some shirts...
Carter does a book club every Friday with his teacher and a few fellow students...
another super fun puzzle game from Nana and Papa...
Aubrey loves to craft so we had the idea to get her some scrap-booking supplies she has loved making a friend scrap book...
While on a walk we stumbled on a Kona ice truck and got a fun treat...
We are so lucky to have such fun ponds and creeks around our house.
Carter is raising a tadpole who he names "Tad"

Our meals are more and more like a restaurant thanks to the Cornona Virus.
We loved painting rocks so much we made some for our garden...

One of Carter's school projects was to make something out of recycled plastic...
Monday April 27th was sports day for Carter's class.
The kids made a fun fort maze for the dogs...

 Tuesday was crazy sock day...
 Cooking class...
I taught the kids how to make my famous green chicken enchiladas.
 They love flipping the tortillas.
I had to run out for something so I took Aubrey with me and we were safe in our masks...
and we were so excited to get a Starbucks
Nana and Papa started reading to the kids once a week.  It's so cute to watch them...

Thursday April 30th was pj day...
Aubrey has wanted to change her room around.  We were just laying around and thought why not lets do it so we did...
 hanging in Aubrey's room.
That was our April 2020! Crazy that we spent the entire month at home.  Being home is our new normal and we are making it work.
