Cancun Day 6 Xel Ha

Friday August 2nd we decided to go to an Echo Park for the day.  We chose Xel-Ha for it's amazing reviews.  We had such an amazing day! By far our favorite day of the vacation for all of us.  The scenery was breath taking and all the things to do were great!

 Our day started really early since you want to take advantage of the park and spend as much time there as possible.  Our bus ride was very comfortable and only took about 45 minutes.

 Learning about all the things you get to do there was so much fun.  We couldn't wait to get ready and go!

 Since everything was water related we put our phones in a locker for the day and just had our GoPro which made it so we didn't get the best pictures but we tried to get some good ones.  The parrots did not like getting pictures! This was the best I could do...

We took a bus ride up to the top of the river and then got to raft down the river into the ocean.

The vines were really cool.  It was such a neat experience.

Once out of the river area and into the ocean we got to watch cliff jumpers.  Carter was so brave! I went up the cliff with him and was going to jump but when I looked down I chickened out but he didn't and made the leap! We got it on video.

There were also really neat rope courses in the water and zip lining.  We had a blast zipping into the water.  We also got to do a race all 4 of us together which was so much fun.

After lots of zipping it was time for lunch.  Part of the package was all you can eat food, ice cram and sodas so we took advantage of that!

After lunch we did some snorkeling and checked out the Cenotes which are caves underground.  They were super cool.

After snorkeling the kids talked us into doing the big water slide at the park.  It was huge and super scary!

Once down they had life guards there to help you get up since you are so dizzy from the ride down.

It was super scary! I'm glad I did for it the kids but will probably not do it again haha.

After the water slide we did a couple more zips down the zip liner.  When it was getting time to closing time and we started to walk back to the lockers it started to rain.  It was perfect! It felt so cool walking in the rain forest in the rain!  We had a wonderful day!

Once back to our resort we got cleaned up and went to dinner at the Indian Restaurant that we wanted to try.

What a great day we had!
