March 2018

March was a fun month! On top of Spencer's birthday and some big school projects we had lots of fun other stuff going on!
March 7th we made a fun St. Patrick's day craft for Activity day girls....

 They came out really cute!
Aunt Pat came out on Thursday 3/8 for the weekend.  We always have so much fun when she comes to visit.  Friday 3/9 we went up to Modesto and met up with Titi to do an escape room and dinner.
Escape rooms is our new favorite thing to do.  This escape room was not as good as the one in Reno and we were rushed to do it so we didn't make it out! It was still lots of fun.
Then we went to dinner at Texas Road house.  It was so good!
Saturday 3/10 we had basketball games

Nana, Papa and Gaga all came down.  It was so fun having our whole family there (minus Shelly and Uncle Steve we missed them!)  It's always so fun to see every one and all cheer on the kids together.
Aubrey has had an amazing team this year! It's been a lot of fun having daddy as the head coach!
After the games we headed to Sizzler to celebrate the March birthdays, Aunt Pat and Spencer.  The kids always also get gifts, they are so lucky!

We had a great weekend with our family!
Sunday 3/11 was the Great to be 8 party.  Hanna did a great job planning their party and I can't believe I will be planning Carter's baptism in the next few weeks!

I helped out with yard duty at school.  Always fun to see my little guy! Carlos is one of my students so he jumped into our selfie!
3/15 I got to go in Aubrey's class and do an art project first we went to lunch...
I thought since they were learning about missions it would be fun to paint Spanish tiles.  They came out unbelievable!

That night also our BBQ dinner fundraiser at school.  We had to take it and run since Carter had basketball practice.
Friday 3/16 was wear green at school day.
How cute are my little St. Patrick's day cuties?!?!
I got to take Carter to lunch that day.
That afternoon the kids worked on their leprechaun trap.
I was so sad this year on St. Patrick's day! We have been going up to Murphy's near Sonora for 7 years for the annual St. Patrick's day parade.  This is one of my favorite yearly trips.  Well when we got the basketball schedule I cried when it said the last games were 3/17!!! So we were stuck in Merced that day.  I hope next year basketball is over the week before like it usually is.  We tried to make the best of it but it just didn't feel like St. Patrick's day to me!
The Leprechaun did stop by....

Carter's snack was even St. Patrick's day themed!
I loved our outfits for church on 3/18

Also on 3/18 they had the Upward closing ceremonies.
The kids were excited to get new backpacks...
It's been a great basketball season.  So grateful for daddy and all his time he puts into his teams!
That night we had our corn beef and cabbage dinner which was so yummy..
Carter and I made some lucky charm rice cakes that also were very yummy!

Monday 3/19 I got to sneak in for Carter's dress rehearsal for the bug play.  Carter was the stink bug which is pretty much the biggest part of the play! He did so great.  He memorized all his parts and he spoke so clearly.  He took the performance very seriously.  I think theater might be in his future.

Getting ready for Easter...
 My adorable stink bug...
3/21 was open house and Carter's performance.
He did GREAT!

Then it was the science fair...
 and classroom tours....
I love the tiles I did with the kids!! They came out beautiful!
Thursday 3/22 I signed the kids out early and we headed up to the bay area for the weekend.  On the way we met up with Papa and Gaga for dinner and to give them Deuce for the weekend.

Since my parents are no longer in the bay and Spencer's parents moved in with his sister we don't really have a place to stay in the bay so we decided to get a fun hotel for the weekend with an indoor pool.  We had a great mini vacation! The hotel was great.
The guy at the front desk even gave the kids free ice cream! He gave Spencer and I free ones too!
 Swimming at 9pm why not?

Friday 3/23 we went and got a U-Haul to get some of the big things out of Spencer's parents house.  Also for us to bring their piano home to our house.  It's so sad to be packing up everything and to say good bye to their house! Spencer has lived there since he was 5! I remember driving by his house stocking him when I was in high school, ha! Then going over there for dinners and hanging out once we were dating.  This house has so many good memories and we will miss it dearly!
After packing (well Spencer packing the truck the kids and I went shopping, lol) we headed to our favorite burger joint, Vals for lunch.

Then we went and spent the rest of that day and evening at Spencer's sisters house visiting with grandma and grandpa.  So mad I didn't get any pictures.
Saturday 3/24 we went to Toys R Us on our way to San Fransisco to see the mission.
 Mission Doloras...

We did some more shopping, out to dinner and swimming.
Sunday 3/25 we woke up went swimming and then had a nice breakfast at the hotel.
Then we drove home and unloaded our new piano.  So glad we got to have that special treasure.  We then had to take the truck back.  The kids thought he truck was so cool...
Tuesday 3/27 we went up to Modesto to meet up with the fam to pick up Deuce and have dinner together.
Wednesday 3/28 we did an Easter Activity days.  It was an egg hunt for Articles of Faith.

Also that was the first day of baseball...
So excited for the baseball season to start! Spencer and Carter decided to be Yankee's again this year.
Friday 3/30 was our first day of spring break and our annual friends Easter Egg hunt at the park.

That afternoon Aubrey made a basket for her American Girl doll, she is so creative.
That evening we dyed our Easter eggs as a family.

And there we have it March 2018!!
