Introducing the cast of..........

Inside Out!
I would have to say I think we did a pretty good job recreating one of our favorite movies!
It was Aubrey's idea and we wanted to do something Disney since we will be in Disney World on Halloween.  We were just going to have the four of us but it worked out that Titi was coming out the weekend of the party and said that she would be sadness for us.  As for when we are in Disney World we just wont have a sadness which is okay because how can you be sad in the happiest place on Earth?  But we will miss her! She sure completes our group!
Carter wanted me to paint his face with an angry mouth since he said that it would be too hard to keep an angry face the entire time.
Susan was hosting the party but I helped a little.  I found the scavenger hunt and I made the trophies.

The scavenger hunt was so much fun! We drove around looking for Halloween decorations.
We ended up at Raley's for most of the things on the list.  Like a trick or treat bucket...
We also got lots of videos that we needed there like saying "who you going to call" to stranger and hope that they say Ghost busters back.  We also had to take a toll on people's favorite candy.  We had to buy a bag of candy and give it out to strangers.  Also buy candy corns and write trick or treat and have some one eat all the candy corns.
It was SUPER fun! I love the video I have of Carter hauling at the moon for 30 sec.  and the one of Titi on a broom saying "I will catch you my pretty and your little dog too." It was a lot of fun!!
After the hunt we went back to Susan's for a party with treats and friends.

We won for best family costume.  Carter also won for scariest costume but we gave it to Payton since we didn't want to win everything.

After the party we went to Pizza (there was hardly any food at the party!)
and then back home for some more pictures.
The kids love the part in the movie that Joy drags Sadness and had been asking us to recreate it the entire night! Titi is such a trooper!

It was a great night! We got the kids down for bed and then watched a mystery movie.  What a great day!
Sunday we woke up and took a nice fall wall.
Then met up with the rest of the family at the Pumpkin Patch....

First week in October

We set up all our Halloween decorations on Monday October 2nd after Aubrey's field trip to Yosemite.
Tuesday October 2nd Aubrey looked adorable for school that day.
Carter got his first stripe at Taekwondo on Tuesday the 3rd.  He is on his way to getting his yellow belt.

Wednesday October 4th was our first sick day from school.  Aubrey was just so tired from her big field trip and had a sore throat.  She didn't have a fever but just needed a day of rest.  Carter ended up staying home just because.
It was a fun treat having them home.  We did some Halloween crafts that day.

Also that day was Activity day girls.  We had all the girls over.  First we read some scriptures and then did an experiment about the Holy Ghost.  After our lesson we prepared Boo baskets to boo some fun leaders in our church.
The girls had a great time door bell ditching, Sister Callister (music director), Sister Fogelberg (Primary President), Bishop Tingey, and the girls Sunday school teachers The Moses.

Friday October 6th Is my volunteer day in Carter's class.  They did a fun art project.

I was also there for the awards and Carter got a math award.
Him and I had a date lunch at McDonald's that day.

Then Titi came to town!! We were so excited for a fun Fall weekend with her!! Saturday night we went to Target and Sizzler for dinner.  Then we came home for a movie, Beetlejuice.  The rating is PG and it is so not PG we had to fast forward a bunch of times and have the kids close their eyes.
Saturday Spencer and I got to have a date to the gym while Laura baby sat and took the kids to Starbucks and yard sale shopping.  After all that we met up and Panera for lunch and then walked the mall.  It was a fun Saturday!

The kids love when we shop at the mall because they bring in the receipts for Shop Smart program at the school.  So far Peterson is in the lead and if we win we win like $25,000!!!
Saturday night was our friend Halloween party......

Aubrey's Yosemite Trip!

Monday October 2nd was Aubrey's field trip to Yosemite.  Nation wide 4th graders get into any National park for free the entire year they are in 4th grade.  To kick off their passes the school set up a field trip for all 3 of 4th grade classes at Peterson.  They were very limited on space and could only have 2 parent chaperones per class.  To make it far since all the parents wanted to go they did a lottery.  I was super bummed that neither Spencer nor I was picked.  Aubrey was a little disappointed too but then we turned it into what a fun adventure she gets to go on and then she was kind of excited to go alone.  I was stressed beyond belief but I tried my hardest to not show it and to be more encouraging rather then to let my helicopter crazy mom self come out!  Aubrey's teacher is wonderful and sent text pictures through out the day.  Also Aubrey had her gizmo so I refreshed the screen pretty much every 30 minutes to see where she was.
Our day started at 5:30am!! Aubrey had to be at school by 6:10am so her and I were up before the sun and got her all packed up!
Once at school I waited with her and her friends until it was time to load the bus.
Mallory, Presley, Aubrey and Kourtney
I got Jizzel to look in this picture.  (Funny story she was our neighbor when she was a baby and her and Aubrey would play in the front yard when they first learned to walk.
Once on the bus I headed to my car.  I cried a little and prayed like crazy that the bus driver would get my pride and joy safely to the park and safely home that day.
Once at Yosemite they went on 2 hikes, had a picnic lunch and learned a ton from all the rangers.

I thought it was so cool to track my little girl and see where she was at through out the day.

These were the pictures she took with her camera (the date is wrong)

They finally made it home safe and sound at 5pm! It was a great day filled with lots of fun memories for her.  I'm sad that she is growing up so fast but so happy that she is learning and enjoying all this world has for her to experience.
