Wente Fishing Trip

June 14th-16th was the Supinger annual fishing trip at Wente Scout Camp in Wilits, CA.  Spencer was very excited because he missed going the last couple years due to Carter's birth and our family vacation. It was also neat because Aubrey was old enough to join in on the fun. Aubrey caught a bunch of blue gill and had a great experience out on a fishing boat. It was a long drive but they both enjoyed it very much. Maybe next year us moms might go too.

Merced County Fair

Thursday June 14th the kids and I went on a MOPS field trip to the Merced Country Fair.  The kids had lots of fun running around with their friends.

Our peach tree was amazing this year!! We got well over 300 peaches.  The birds got a few of them, we gave some away and oh how we enjoyed a bunch!! We also made an out of this world peach cobbler.

 We always get lots of aphids on our roses.  Spencer did some research and found out that lady bugs eat aphids we were surprised that our Orchard carried some so we tried it out.  It worked really good and it was fun playing with all the lady bags with the kids. 

The Saturday before the fair was Aubrey's good friend, Grace's 4th birthday party.  It was a tea party at a cute cafe here in town it was adorable!  The girls made jewelry boxes and necklaces.  They also got to order their own lunch and drink out of tea cups.  The moms stayed too it was a nice girls day out.  

The Diggins

 2 weekends ago we went up to Sonora for the Diggins in Columbia.  This was the first year that we went and it was very cool.  They turn the town of Columbia into how it was in 1852 which was during the gold rush.  You exchange your money for gold when you get there and that is what you use to buy things that they would have bought back then.  It was really neat and a very interesting history lesson.  Aubrey did some laundry and old fashion bowling.  Both Aubrey and Carter panned for gold and we all enjoyed some ice cold  sarsaparilla soda and a yummy picnic.

We went back to mom and dad's for some fishing and a BBQ.  Carter loves his new car life vest!

 I tried a new dessert which was YUMMY! brownie strawberry truffle!

After seeing that picture you wouldn't think this but Spencer and I have been counting our calories for about 2 months.  It has been a major eye opening experience.  I had know idea how much I snacked and eat unnecessary calories.  With watching my calories and working out I have lost 9.5 lbs in 2 months.  Spencer who has been working out like crazy and watching what he has ate for a year has lost almost 50 lbs.  We are very excited about our more healthy life style.  

We had a blast up in Sonora and can't wait for our next great adventure!

Memorial Day weekend Trip

For Memorial Day weekend we decided to take a little get away to Gilroy.  We have our annual passes to Gilroy Gardens and were in need of some outlet shopping so we made a weekend of it!  The kids looked so darn cute with their suitcases.  

 We spent all day Saturday at Gilroy Gardens.

We rode lots of rides, eat lots of food and shopped tell we dropped what a great weekend!

Car Show

I stumbled upon a neat hidden jewel here in Merced, The Vista Ranch and Cellars.  It is beautiful! They have different family friendly events all summer long.  The Thursday before Memorial day weekend was a tri-tip/pizza dinner and car show.  Our great friends the Mackins came with us and we had a night filled with lots of fun.
