Hair wraps are back in style! The 90s style is really coming back!! Aubrey let me do a fun red white and blue for Fourth of July!
We took the dogs to watch carters baseball game…
Loving our mini fire pit!
Friday, July 2 Aubrey had Presley and Devon over for a movie, dinner and some s’mores.
Saturday, July 3 we hosted the Supinger’s Fourth of July celebration. It was so fun decorating the house and getting ready for the big party.
Aubrey and I made red white and blue cupcakes for the celebration….
We had a wonderful party lots of great food and lots of swimming time.
We had quite the firework collection…..
Our pool looks so cool with so many people swimming. It was like a public swimming pool but we knew who everybody was haha!
It was a special party because Terry & Kimball came from Utah to celebrate with us.
After our fun day in the pool we came in and celebrated Charlotte’s eighth birthday.
All the brothers
All the sisters
We decided since we just moved into this neighborhood that we should do our fireworks somewhere else and not disturb the neighbors. So we packed up the car and drove over to Cruickshank middle school to do our fireworks in the parking lot. The kids all jumped in the back of Grandpa’s truck what a fun memory!
What an amazing crowd of people we had. The kids all had so much fun with the sparklers. With all of our fireworks it truly was an amazing show!
We were excited that the Heatherly’s could spend the night with us that night and spend Fourth of July with us the next day. We all woke up and got ready for the Fourth of July parade/festival in Atwater.
These girls were so cute in their gigantic bows!
After the festival we all came home for some swimming and lunch in our backyard. Then we watched a matinee and then had to say goodbye it was a really fun weekend!
The kids still enjoy making slime…
Aubrey and I did a fun yard project…
We have a new Dutch Brose in Merced. The kids and I love to go for a fun summer treat!
Wednesday, July 7 the kids invited their friends over for a slumber party and then on Thursday, July 8th I took them all down to Fresno to check out the Fresno zoo.
We had so much fun. It was a very very hot day but still a lot of fun. We came home and played games that evening all together.
Sunday, July 11 was the first day of our family vacation with the Schillerstrom‘s! This year‘s family vacation we decided to go stay at Uncle Kirk‘s beach house in Aptos for 3 nights. We left from merced just the four of us and stopped for a yummy lunch.
Once we made it to Aptos we checked out our fun beach house and then walked down to the beach. The house was in a perfect location it was so fun!
Putting our feet in the ocean felt so nice! The crisp beach air also was a huge treat! We were all so tired of the 105 back home so being in the 70’s with our feet in the ocean felt very refreshing. It was so fun to be all of us together. We enjoyed a nice walk down the beach. We went and checked out the cement boat.
After we were all settled in and our walk we got ready for dinner and headed down to the wharf for a yummy seafood dinner.
The next morning Spencer and I woke up early and went to a local gym for a nice workout.
Monday July 12th we spent the day at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. We got a wrist band so we are able to ride all the rides. It was fun all being together having fun on the rides.
The Giant Dipper is such an iconic ride at the boardwalk! When I was in 7th grade I was in the jazz band. They allowed flutes to be in the jazz that year and one of the competitions we had was in Santa Cruz. My dad came with me and I remember going on the Giant Dipper with him and I thought it was so amazing! It was seriously one of my favorite memories as a kid. Then when I was in 8th grade the band director decided not to have flutes in jazz band so I took up trumpet just for that year so I could be in the jazz band and get to go to Santa Cruz with my dad again and go on the Giant Dipper! Such a special memory that I will always think of. It was so cool that I got to go this time with my dad again and my kids! The roller coaster was actually very bumpy and kind of uncomfortable from what I remember it may be age 14 vs age 40 this time around haha! But even though I got a head ache and felt like I got hit by a train it still was fun. The kids loved it!
The log ride was a hit! We tried to balance the weight so that we didn’t get wet but we still all get wet!
The wet crew!!
I sure love my family!! What a wonderful day we had!
Nana paid for all the girls to get a henna tattoo.
Carter was so excited to win a carnival game all on his own! What was even cooler was he saw a man before him not win so he thought it was impossible but sure enough the did and won a cute little bear.
Dad and Aubrey were so brave to do the drop ride together.
That night we all were pretty beat! We had Pizza My Heart for dinner that night.
Tuesday July 13th dad, Scott and o woke up early for a walk/jog on the beach.
Then we came home and got ready for our big adventure of the day, Monterey Bay Aquarium. With covid restrictions getting better it feels nice being able to do fun things again. We did have to wear our mask which was kind of a bummer but worth it to get to experience the aquarium. It had been around 10 years since our last visit so it was really neat to see everything.
After our fun day in the aquarium we headed out to cannery row for some shopping.
We then drove back to our beach house area and stopped and had burgers and shakes at burger dot.
When we got home we watched a suspenseful movie as a family.
What another great vacation day!!!
Wednesday July 14th papa, Scott, Aubrey, Carter, Spencer and I went down to the ocean to collect shells and play in the water. Papa usually has a cast on for his feet but he was able to take it off for the last day at the beach. I can only imagine how wonderful that felt for him.
After our beach time we headed back to the house to pack up. It felt sad that our beach vacation was coming to an end. Here is a picture of all our henna tattoos…
The girls!
After doing good bye our family of four went out to a really yummy breakfast.
And then we headed to the Mystery Spot. We wanted us all to go to the Mystery Spot but since the other four had a longer drive and they needed to pick up their doggies they couldn’t make it. Also it’s not handicap accessible so it made since just our four to do it.
It was a fun tour. Shorter than I thought. I think I was like 8 or 9 when I did it last so I didn’t really remember much. We all thought it was really cool. I love how spencer and the kids always get picked as volunteers for things.
We then drove home. What a fun vacation!!! We decided we need to go out to Santa Cruz more! It’s less than 2 hours away and such a fun place to be at! Once we got home our puppies were so happy to see us! Olivia did a great job puppy and house sitting for us!
Friday 16th Aubrey had a lake day with the youth group so Carter and I did a date day. He needed a new uniform for his Boy Scouts so we drove up to Modesto for lunch and shopping. We had a wonderful time.
He looks so grown up in his Boy Scout uniform!
He loves that his paints can turn to shorts!
Also July 16th is Millies birthday! She was turning 5 so we gave her a little toy and cheese cupcake.
When we are home on the weekends we always have a pool day.
Aubrey is crafty with all her beads!
Tuesday July 20th the kids and I took the small private jet to Sacramento to visit aunt pay for a few nights.
It’s always so fun to see aunt pat! First stop cheese cake factory!!
Wednesday July 21st Aubrey has wanted a new hair style for a long time. Our hair stylist I’m merced is dad so I thought it would be fun to take this opportunity being in a big city to get her hair done. Here is a before….
And an after…
She wanted to keep her length she just really wanted curtain bangs.
After her hair appointment we went and picked Carter and aunt pat up and went to a fun trampoline, rope course, zip lining, and bumper car place. It was a super cool indoor play place.
Dad did an amazing job watching the pets at home for us. He even took rango on a walk!
Thursday July 22nd we took the kids to Dave and busters.
We also did some shopping. Carter found these silly hand and put on a funny show for us we were all cracking up!
Friday July 23rd Aunt pat drove back home to merced with us. Once at home we had a pizza party and watched movies.
On Saturday July 24th we were all so excited to go out to the movies to see Old. It was so good!!!
Sunday July 25th we had Gigi over some pool time, games and a bbq.
Carter still loves building Legos.
Aubrey has been wanting to make these candy strawberries for a long time.
Slumber party on our room!
Thursday July 29th I hosted a PTC board meeting. It was fun having a little get together. I’m the president this year which is going to be interesting.
Kids having fun with a worm science experiment.
Friday July 30th Spencer took a half day off for our 16year wedding anniversary. We all went as a family to buy a fun new gift for us all!
Spencer says he always wanted to be the person at Costco buying a big tv and we got to be that family this time! What a fun new toy for us all!!
That evening Carter got invited to a birthday party and Aubrey went to her friend Devon’s so we got to have a fabulous date night!! We went downtown for dinner and then to a movie and ice cream for dessert.
It was a really fun night!! So lucky to be married to my best friend!
Saturday July 31st was Carters boys out advancement camp. He started as a Cub Scout and then got to bridge over as a Boy Scout. The camp was at lake Yosemite again so nice and close to home. Spencer and Carter went over to the lake early and set up camp. Aubrey and I got ready at home. Since he was bridging over to a new troop we got his old leaders a nice little gift.
At camp Carter got to learn about spare throwing..
We saw a raccoon in the tree…
The boys that were bridging…
The ceremony was very special…
The moms all mad the scouts a neat arrow to represent what they completed in cub scouts. Mr Richard even lit the tip on fire. Of course that was the boys favorite part!
We are so proud of our Boy Scout!
The troop cooked a wonderful tri tip dinner. We all got to enjoy good food and making new friends. It was wonderful being around families in camping setting. The older Boy Scouts were so kind to the younger boys. Carter loved transitioning to the bigger scout. He really embraced it and I could see his maturity grow just in that 1 day!
Aubrey was so cute too. Owen’s twin sisters really took to Aubrey and followed her around camp the entire day. It was so cute! We loved them!!!
The skits at camp fire were so fun and it was neat seeing Carter work with these older boys.
It was a great experience! Spencer took one for the team and stayed the night in the tent. I would have too but with the dogs Aubrey and I went back home. Carter had the choice to sleep in a tent with fellow scouts or with his dad. He choose his dad because he didn’t want him to be alone. It was good he did because in the middle of the night they heard a bunch of noice and sure enough poor Owen threw up in the tent. Logan had put a pad lock on the tent because of the raccoons so you can only imagine the mess that happened in the tent that night! Carter was so happy not to be part of that and I was too!
July was a busy fun month! We made lots of great summer memories. I wish the summer could last forever!
