This post will not be the entire month of July since the first part we were in Sonora at Camp Phoenix Lake and the last part on our big family vacation for the summer. So here you have it
July 4th-27th...
4th of July started very early for Carter and I. We did the annual Independence run in Atwater again this year. We have done it twice now. Carter was not to happy when I woke him up at 6:30am to run. I was excited to get to run with my track star! Once we got to the park and had the race day feeling Carter was much happier.
All ready to go!
and we did it! 2 Miles! Last year Carter walked half the way this year he ran the entire way. We had to stop a couple times because he had a bad cramp but he was able push through it and make it across the finish line. Next year we will have to do some practice miles before the race.
After the race I took him to the vendor area where he got to pick something out. He went with an army punching bag "to get stronger"
We then headed home. Spencer and I went on a date to the gym where I got to practice for my cycle audition. Then we came home got ready and all went to lunch at Panera then it was off to pick up fireworks....
Then we went to the new Spiderman movie which was really good!
Back home to have a fun BBQ just the 4 of us and this amazing dessert after...
All ready for our firework show...
The boys put it on and it was amazing!
That night we fished our 2,000 piece puzzle!
Friday July 5th we tried out a very good Mexican restaurant downtown that we had never tried. We will be going back soon! So good!
The reason we were downtown was because Dad and Carter had a Magic tournament. Spencer use to play Magic a lot when he was younger and has just started getting back into it. He has taught Crater and he just loves it! Every so often they have tournaments so it was fun that they got to go to one together. Carter was the only kid there and he did great! He had to battle adults and ended up tying someone at the end of the night!
While the boys were busy nerding out us girls went to the mall and did some vacation shopping. We found matching rompers to wear with our swim suits!
and Aubrey found an adorable dress.
After clothes shopping we decided to check out Sephora. Aubrey has started to wear a little bit of blush so I wanted to have a professional give us tips. We had a sweet lady tell us all about what is age appropriate and we learned about how to keep Aubrey's skin clan and moisturized. She also got a very little makeover with just blush and her eyebrows brushed. It was a really fun experience. I let her buy the blush they put on her and she was so excited! We had a nice mother daughter date.
Saturday July 6th Spencer and I got to have the best date night ever! My mom and dad had got us tickets to Snoop Dogg in Sonora for our anniversary. My moms friend has connections and was able to get us awesome seats at the concert we were so excited! Spencer has been a rap fan his whole life and the fact that he always takes me to my country concerts I was excited to go to something he really likes and honestly I'm an undercover big rap fan too! The concert was at the casino so we went up to the casino for dinner and then boarded a bus to get to the concert venue.
Our seats were unbelievable! We had a great view and plenty of room to dance!
Snoop was awesome! He knows how to have fun and make the crowd go crazy.
We were out until 1:30am it was a party night for sure. Makes me so happy that I have the most fun hubby in the world! We danced the night away and loved every song!
While we were parting all the night the kids were too with the family. Sunday morning we all slept in until 10am. Once we rolled out of bed we packed up and headed back home.
The week of July 8th -12th we just chilled at home.
Aubrey had a play date with Presley at our house..
The kids amd I did a big bike ride one of the days...
We rode all the way to the Yogurt place...
Aubrey had a play date at Presleys and they got to ride their bikes to Starbucks. Aubrey texted me this selfie how cute is that?!?
We made some cool melted bead bowls...
The July news letter I made...
Friday July 12th we packed up the car and headed up to Groveland for a weekend of camping...
We stopped for dinner at this really great restaurant on top of the hill..
Setting up camp....
Our friends the Johnston's met up with us so that was fun to hang out with them some of the time. Theo just loved Carter!
Saturday July 13th we had breakfast at their camp and then got ready to go to Yosemite for the day.
What a great view!
Oh Yosemite so beautiful but TOO CROWDED! So sad that everyone and there mom goes to Yosemite now. It's hard to take in the beauty when you are surrounded by pushing annoying tourist. Even though what should have only taken 30 minutes took 2 hours to get in the park! We were still in love with the beautiful scenery. It was so fun to have Deuce and Millie with us too!
We had a wonderful picnic lunch near a beautiful little creek. It was amazing having the most beautiful back drop in the world surrounding us.
After Yosemite we all met at the Pizza Factory for dinner and then back to camp. I guess I can allow a little bit of video game time....
The campsite we stayed at was so cute! It was the place we stayed at a cabin back in winter a couple of years ago and loved! Every Saturday night is movie night. We got to see The Croods that nigh it was cute.
The next morning we packed up and headed home. Before we left we stopped by the petting zoo that should have been open but they must have closed early that day! Carter was sad.
After unpacking and 15 loads of laundry Millie and I was knocked out!
Right after camping we were packing our bags yet again for our next adventure!
Sacramento to visit the aunt July 15th-19th!
We usually do the train but this time I found out that the little airline here in Merced flies to Sacramento! So for our transportation we took a private jet! We were so excited. The airport in Merced is so tiny! We still had to go through TSA which made us laugh since there were more TSA employees than passengers!
The jet was beyond cool! It fits 8 passengers but we only had us 3 and 2 other ladies that were coming from LAX and going to SAC.
We made it to Sacramento! It was a great 30 minute flight. We had such a fun time.
Once in SAC Auntie picked us up and we went to Dave & Busters for lunch and to play games....
Then we went to our Aunties house were they surprised us with lots of fun things!
Time to go swimming!
Aubrey wa sin heaven with an XL cheese pizza!
Tuesday July 16th we went to the California State Fair. We missed having Shelly and daddy this time but we still had a blast. It wasn't as hot as last year which was so nice!
Pizza and a pretzel! Yum!
Carter and I rode the sky ride together...
Played some games....
Carter wanted this shirt so bad!!!
Carter had never been on a Ferris wheel so that was his number 1 thing we had to do at the fair! I was so happy to get to make his dream come true! Look at how excited he was....
What a great day!
Wednesday July 17th we just chilled at the house. It was a great pool day!
Thursday July 18th Shelly took the day off and we went to the mall and had fun shopping and eating!
Friday July 19th we were sad to say good bye to the aunts but excited to fly home and see dad, the puppies and go on an airplane again!
It was such a fun trip!
Saturday July 20th we went to the new Lion King as a family.
Aubrey still is collecting Shopkins!
Millie turned 3 on July 16th and since we were out of town we celebrated it on Saturday July 20th. How cute is this picture Aubrey got of the Bday girl....
We are not sure how she feels about turning 3!....
The week of July 22nd-26th we spent getting ready for our big vacation!
Spencer and I had a gym date look at those muscles....
Gotta love when the ice cream man comes around!
sibling slumber party...
Getting our nails done!
The kids playing with makeup and acting...
Saturday July 27th Nana, Papa, and Titi came out to pick up our doggies for a week so we all got to go and have a wonderful brunch at Jantz so sad I didn't get a picture! Then we came home and packed for our trip. Carter was lucky to get a science kit right before we left so he played with that all evening while we packed!
Our big family summer vacation was finally here! Up next Vacation Day 1!
