Day 7 of Vacation

We titled our last day of vacation Star Wars day! We were excited to put on our shirts and make sure that both kids got signed up for the Jedi Training this trip.
we got to Disneyland first thing and headed straight over to the Matterhorn and then into Fantasy Land to do any rides we had missed on Wednesday.

Then it was time to meet Kylo Ren.  The kids were amazed.

We spent more time in the Star Wars area checking things out and getting more pictures since we had our shirts on this time.

Then it was off to ToonTown.  We rode the kiddie roller coaster a few times.  The kids love that one.

It was then time for a snack and I have always wanted to try the mickey mouse beignets and mint julep.  That was the best snack ever!

after our snack we decided that we were still hungry and we saw another couple with some yummy shrimp sandwiches so we went for that for lunch but were not as impressed with that meal.  We went on a few more rides and then decided we needed a swim break so we went back to the hotel for a couple hours.
We needed to be back in the park by 4pm for the Jedi Training.  Carter had the chance to do it last time we were in Disneyland but this was Aubrey's first time.  They do it a little different now.  You don't get picked from the audience you need to get a fast pass early in the morning.  Then you get a set time and you come back at the time and get your robe and practice at a different area and then are guided to the stage area.

My Jedi's are just too cute!
Aubrey was thrilled that she was chosen to be the line leader and lead all the Jedi in.

The show was awesome! Both our Jedi's did great and they wore their pins with pride the rest of the evening.
We then got to go meet Chewbacca he was so cuddly and fun.

It was then time for a corn dog treat.
Here was the crowd from Tarzan's tree house.  It was crowded but not bad since we didn't have a stroller this time.  We just ran through the crowd and we manged to get fast passes for what we really wanted to do and it always seemed that we never waited more then 10 minutes for any other ride.

We played in the tree house and then we discovered our favorite roller coaster, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  It was SO much fun! I worried that Carter would fly out pretty much every minute but other then that it was a great thrill ride.  We all loved it and ended up going on it 3 times that night.
Then we saw a photographer taking pictures of the scenery and asked him to take a picture of us.  The lighting was so cool I just wish Carter was looking at the camera.  The photographer told Carter he liked his pose and so Carter keep it up for all the pictures.  It was funny becasue after he took our picture a line had formed behind us of others wanting their picture.

Then we had dinner at the Hungry Bear Restaurant by Splash Mountain I wish i got a picture we had a feast of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, chili cheese fries and a churro funnel cake for dessert it was amazing.
We rode a few more rides and then got ready for the night time light parade.

I'm so confused why people will sit and save their seats for the light parade for over 4 hours when you can see the same parade an hour and half later and get front row seats on Main Street 2 minutes before the parade.  That's what we do every time and it works like a charm.  Yes you are there later but it was our last night so we were ready to party.

The parade is so magical and special.  Our seats were amazing we got lots of high faves and waves right to us.

Once the parade was over it was setting in that our trip was coming to end.  Earlier in the day Aubrey had decided that for her Disneyland souvenir she wanted a baby Anna doll.  We saw the doll st the store next to the Castle at around 5 and I told her lets wait and get it later so we don't have to carry it and so we wont lose it.  Well around 8 we went back to the store and it was closed because they close for the fireworks.  I though oh well we can get it at the Emporium on Main Street they have everything. Before the parade started Aubrey and I ran to the store and sure enough they had every other baby but no Anna.  I was starting to get a little worried but then the worker told us that World of Disney in downtown Disney would have it so after the parade we said good bye to the boys and we headed to downtown Disney while they went back to the hotel it was about 11pm at this time.  We walked into World of Disney to find they were sold out! They told us to go to the Frozen store a couple stores down so we did, nope sold out too! At this point I was getting pretty frustrated this was the one thing Aubrey really wanted and I felt bad because I told her to wait and know we can't find one.  I also was annoyed because why did the store by the castle have like 20 and all these other stores had none! So we walked back to World of Disney and I was determined to find this doll.  I look up and low and behold they have one on display.  I get a worker and say "okay I will take that one" and point up and she goes on to tell me they can't sell displays even though it had a tag and sensor thing on it! now I was so mad I even started to cry which made Aubrey start to cry! This was Disneyland why the heck wasn't our dream coming true???!!!   The workers told me to come back in the morning and there might be one on a truck since they get like 5 shipments a night.  So now its mid night and Aubrey and I are sadly walking back to the hotel.  As were walking through the middle of the parks I notice that there are people in California Adventure and with all the workers looking stuff on their computers I knew there was a Anna doll in the front shop.  I ran to a worker and told him my story and he said that it was Grad night and all the shops were closed but to wait he will talk to someone else and see what they could do for us.  Next thing I knew Aubrey and I were being escorted back into Disneyland and back to the Emporium.  A manager came over heard our story and told us to hold tight.  We were the only people in the park that were not workers it felt so cool.  20 minutes later the manager is running to us holding an Anna doll for Aubrey! The tears started again but this time happy ones.  Everyone was hugging and Aubrey had the hugest smile.  I felt like it was a real Disney Magic moment.  It was really special! Walking down main street with not a soul around you is probably the coolest feeling ever.  We made it back to hotel around 2am with a fun story to tell and pretty doll to snuggle.
The next morning we packed up and got on the road.  I was excited to be able to stop at Cafe Rio on the way home and to do some shopping.  It felt good to be back home and excited for the summer ahead of ud.  This was a wonderful vacation! The kids were the perfect travel companions and we didn't have one fight or argument.  Everyone loved everything we did. We are so grateful that we are able to do these kinds of vacations and we can't wait to start planning our next one.
