Carter is 2!!!!

No no no it can't be true our little guy is really 2???
Carter turned the big 2 today!
He is such a fun little guy that keeps us really busy.  I will have to say that he is much more mellow then his sister and less "drama" but he sure can climb and gets into more things.  He loves running water and washing his hands we find him in the bathroom a lot.  He also loves to push stools over to the counters and be a part of what ever we are doing.  He has found a love for coloring he holds the crayons perfect.  He walks around saying, "color, color, color?"  His all time favorite things are still cars.  He loves having some kind of car, truck, motorcycle (anything with wheels) in his hands at all times.  Whenever he goes to play-dates, mom's club, or church he runs straight to the cars.  Carter has been saying new things every day.  He calls Aubrey, sissy and is always looking for her, "where sissy?"  His favorite cartoon is Cat in the Hat he calls it "go go".  He sings along to the theme song.  He also loves all Dr. Seuss books.  He is having a Cat in the Hat themed birthday party next week.  He loves putting on his own shoes especially his rain boots but he also puts on our shoes too.  He loves fruit and chicken nuggets.  We have his 2 year appointment next Monday so I will post stats then.  We love you Carter and you make our hearts melt when we see you smile and laugh.
Happy Birthday Carter!!!!

Carter's Early Birthday Celebration

Last Sunday we went up to Sonora for the day to be with family and see mom since she just had surgery.  Mom is doing great and it surprised us how good she was at getting around.  We decided since this is Carter's Birthday week we should do an early celebration.  Carter was so so so excited!! To say he loves his new car is an understatement.  He spends hours playing with it.  If he is not sleeping he is either driving his car around the backyard or opening and closing the door on the patio.  A perfect gift our little, CARter!
We thought it would be fun to have an early mother's day too.
Mom found the cutest car cake ever! You can only imagine just how excited Carter got!
Aubrey has been so excited about Carter's Birthday.  She asks me every day, "is it almost Carter's Birthday?"  "When is Cart's party?" What a great big sister.
Thanks Nana and Papa for a wonderful Sunday we love you very much.

Fun Around Town

We have had a great spring so far.  The weather has been awesome and we have an enjoyed many meals outside:
Aubrey and I have been loving the craft days at Micheal's:
We got memberships to our local science museum again this year and have enjoyed a couple trip there:
In honor of Earth day we made one of our favorite desserts, dirt:
Last weekend we had Titi over which was a blast! Our local "live" theater has been putting on an adorable 5 week series called Pinklings.  It's perfect for kids 2-5 and Aubrey was in heaven!

Gilroy Gardens

On Saturday April 21st our family of four went to Gilroy Gardens for the day.  We had such a blast having season passes last year so it was a must have again for this year.  It was an awesome day and we can't wait to go all summer long.
After playing all day we spent a little time at the outlets and then had a BBQ dinner at Famous Dave's.

Easter Sunday

Aubrey had been talking about the Easter bunny non stop for almost a month so when Easter Sunday came around she was up very early and very excited!!! I was a little worried we wouldn't get everything done since we had lots to do before Church at 9am but we had plenty of time. The Easter bunny left the baskets on the landing this year. I wish I would have been down there to get a better shot of their faces when they saw their baskets oh well. They were very excited and got lots of fun things.
They pulled everything out of their baskets so that they could start hunting for eggs and other goodies. When I was younger the Easter bunny would always hide a stuffed animal and a chocolate bunny. I'm happy to see that the Easter bunny now a days is still doing the same thing.
So happy!
After the celebrations we had yummy cinnamon rolls. It was special this year because we had Titi here with us. She came to Church with us too. After Church we took some family pictures all dressed up.
Then Nana, Papa, and Gaga came over for the day. The Easter Bunny also came to Nana and Papa's and brought the kids some fun goodies.
We played some ping pong.
Then Aubrey hid the eggs for us to find. She found some great hiding places.
Then we did confetti eggs. Not sure who's idea it was to do it on all the adults heads?!? The kids got a kick out of it.
Then we made our Easter Sunday dinner. It was delicious!
Two big family parties! What a fun weekend!
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter too!
