October started off with me getting to sub Carter's class for for a couple days. It felt like a ghost town at the school with no students. I got to bring Carter with me which was so great! I was nervous about doing all the online stuff so having him there to help me was awesome!
Carter loves the classroom pet, Fred....
I thought it would be fun to do an art project with the kids. They seemed to like it.
Saturday October 3rd Spencer and I went on a date to Modesto on a search for furniture. We didn't find anything that day but we still had fun being just the two of us. We enjoyed a fun lunch at a BBQ place.
The kids were so excited to decorate our new front yard for Halloween...
We searched and searched for the perfect table of four for our little kitchenette area and could not find anything! Then I turned to craigslist. I would find interesting finds but they were either too much work or sold. I knew I wanted a white table and then I started to worry it would be too white or cream. Then I found the cutest white table that looked perfect in Waterford (an hour away). When I messaged the lady and asked what color white and she said swiss coffee which is the white color we were painting our cabinets I knew it was meant to be. People don't hold things for long so I knew we and to go for it. Spencer was busy at work so the kids and I went on an adventure to Waterford. We needed to take the truck and had a stop at the dump. The kids were so scared of what the lady would be like (I guess it didn't help that I told them stories about craigslist transactions going bad) anyways we did it and the lady ended up being super nice and the table was perfect! I was very proud of my find and that I got it on my own.
In October we were still very busy!! We were working on our laundry room and kitchen the most.
Family pizza night....
Spencer painted all the backs of the cabinets and my job was all the fronts of the cabinets and the drawers. It took forever! But I started to really enjoy the peaceful time and feeling of accomplishment when I would get each area done.
Then we came home and did masks...
We are so glad we have a hot tub!!! It wasn't even on our must haves for a new house but we feel so blessed that we have one. As the weather is getting colder it's fun to still have something to enjoy outside....
One of my dreams has been to ride my bike to Raley's and buy flowers and a baguette to put in my basket. My dream came true.....
The kids and I got to do a fun craft....
We made a spooky Halloween village....
Thanks to Amazon nowadays you can be anything you want for Halloween! Carter wanted to be a character from Fortnite and we were able to copy exactly what he wears....
I love the new chairs I found for the living room (the dogs do too!)
Mom Supinger moved in with Adam and Susan in Manteca I got to meet up with them for lunch and some shopping.
Once I finished all the laundry room cabinet fronts Spencer hung them up and we had already painted the laundry room. All we have left is the hardware but I'm ready for some before and after's.
Laundry room before....

One fun new thing we did with the house is we decided to take out the cabinets on the side of the laundry room to make a larger mud room entrance from the garage. We also turned the closet into a bench area. Unfortunately I didn't get before pictures of those areas but I got after's. We are so happy with how it turned out!
The kids also had a sleep over with friends that night....
We love our new location!!! The kids and I walked over for a fun treat at Quickley's
Family date night....
Sunday 10/18 we had our annual family pumpkin patch trip with the whole gang! We went to Turlock again this year and had so much fun picking out our pumpkins and doing the corn maze...
After the pumpkin patch we went to dinner at the Dust Bowl which is so yummy and such a great atmosphere.
Papa had been babying his pumpkin that he grew and then brought it to Carter to watch. They had fun texting back and forth pictures of Pumpkin doing fun things.
I loved all the fun pumpkins Spencer bought me for the front porch...
Fun bike trip treat....
We finished the cabinets on the wet bar.

Carter was invited to a friends house for dinner so dad took Aubrey and I out we were excited to find a place that had indoor dinning!
We went shopping that night and found a perfect rug for our music room. As you can see we are still working on the wall.
Kitchen cabinets were coming along slowly but surely....
We had our first scare of leaving the gate open on the side yard and our little puppies escaped! Thank goodness they didn't go far and were just playing in the front yard! I saw this sign and thought how perfect!
Aubrey and I went to get a car wash and look what we saw.....
Talk about scary!
Aubrey has been going to a fun youth group every Thursday night. She is growing up so fast and looks too cute!
Friday 10/23 Aubrey was invited to a 7th grade bon fire party at Reid's house. She was very excited for a boy/girl party. They had a great time!
Saturday 10/24 we had a Supinger fall party in Manteca.
The kids and I did a spooky gingerbread house...
Costume prep...
Aubrey decided to do Velma from Scooby doo with her friend as you will see at the end of this post. The kids had fun dressing the dogs up and playing in the costume box...
We walked to Wing Stop for dinner
Halloween painting with the kids...
Spencer's work did an October fest party and decided on doing a pie testing theme so I helped get all the pies and did the decorations.
We put solar on our new house....
Annual witch night on 10/29
Friday 10/30 Carter got to wear his costume to school
Saturday Halloween we were busy eating jack-o-lantern food...
Carving our Jack-O-lanterns...
And then we got ready for a fun Halloween night! The kids got to have a friend over and we played games, had nachos, went to a trunk or treat, trick or treating, passing out candy, scary movie and sleep over it was a fun night!
Daphne and Velma...
I have wanted to use my elf costume for Halloween for some time and since this was the year not to do a family costume it was perfect timing for me to get Spencer a Buddy costume. We looked so cool and our trunk was the BEST! We got lots of compliments. Instead of saying Happy Halloween we said Merry Christmas the kids were confused it was great!
October was a fun month!!!
