Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve finally arrived and the kids were beyond excited! They have enjoyed counting down the days with our count down blocks and chocolate advent calendars and they loved looking every morning for Frosty the elf to see what kind of hiding place or mischief he may have gotten into the night before.  The one rule that the elf on the shelf has is that he can't not be touched.  The morning of Christmas Eve Frosty had his suit case and a good bye letter.  In the letter it stated that Santa would left his magic for just a minute so that the kids could hold him and give him a hug and a kiss.  They were very excited to actually get to touch our magic elf.

One of our Christmas Eve traditions is to open their Christmas PJ's.
They where very excited and as you may see in most of my future posts they have these jammies on all the time!

Christmas Eve is always spent with the Supinger side of the family and we always have it at Adam and Susan's house in Manteca since it's a perfect middle point for all of us.
It's always so fun being around Spencer's huge family.  We love seeing everyone and enjoying a yummy potluck with all off our signature dishes.  I have become known for my strawberry/spinach salad and we also made green beans with cashews this year.  We play a kid white elephant and an adult white elephantgame.  We also celebrate December birthdays and sing the 12 days of Christmas all together.

I have always packed my kids Christmas jammies to put on their and then drive home in since we leave pretty late.  I sent out an email this year to get all the cousins to wear their jammies for a picture it was cute.

It was a fun party.  The kids were very anxious to get home and to go to sleep.  We downloaded a Santa tracker on my phone and had fun all night reloading it to see where he was.  Another tradition that I use to do as a kid is count Christmas lights on the houses on the way home.  You have to guess  how many then we count the homes that are about 3 miles away to our home. It was really fun with the kids this year.  We finally made it home and set up our letter and cookies for Santa.
And then got comfy and read the night before Christmas.

After daddy read it then Aubrey read it! It was so sweet and so amazing how well she can read.

Getting some good use out of my new phone :)

Here is a video of Aubrey reading I hope it works!
(gross Carter totally picking for gold and then he ate it, so gross!!!! I was just so into Aubrey reading I didn't notice it, haha)

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
