A day of parties!

Saturday December 17th was a day jammed pack with parties! That evening was Spencer's company party down in Fresno so we had asked Titi to come out and baby sit.  I'm not sure she knew she was coming for a jammed packed weekend! I thought it would be fun for us girls to start the day off with getting our hair done at the beauty college.  I use to get up do's for Prom and winter balls at the beauty college in Hayward so I thought why not try our college here for that.  Well 2 hours later we were not to thrilled with outcome with the exception of Aubrey's hair.  Both Titi and I had to do some major damage control in the bathroom at Chipotle after our salon experience.  The good news it was cheap and it gave us a good laugh.

Aubrey's hair looked adorable and she looked so grown up! She was pretty proud of it and I found quit a few selfies on my phone later that night.
After our girl lunch Titi, Aubrey and I headed to Kourtney's 9th birthday at Roller Land.
Kourtney, Kylie and Aubrey. These girls are in Aubrey's class and they get a long great.  Since the party was at 1 I didn't know if there would be food but sure enough there was pizza so Aubrey two lunches that day.
The plan was for Laura and I too just watch but after a few times around Aubrey bagged us to skate too so we jumped in.  Roller Skating was hard for Aubrey this time.  Her friends were like pros and I think that made it even harder.  We had lots of tears and frustration but at the end we all had lots of fun and were glad we went.

While we at that party Daddy was with Carter at his friend Joseph's 7th birthday party.  Joseph is in Carter's class and I'm good friends with mom through the PTC.  His party was in Atwater first they had pizza at Mountain Mikes and then went bowling.  Carter had a blast! The parents gave the kids unlimited money to play the games and then gave away Lego sets as the party favors.  Carter was seriously in heaven.  Both of these parties that the kids were invited too were super fun and made me think small parties at home might not cut it anymore, haha.

After all the parties we met at home to get ready for our fancy Christmas Party in Fresno.  They had the party at Roger Roca's again this year.  It's a show and dinner.  They did it 2 years ago, took last year off and then this year.  I was really excited to get dolled up and go out with my man.
The show this time was The Christmas Story and it was amazing! I could not believe how well they stayed true to the movie.  The singing was wonderful and every character was my favorite.  We had a wonderful hand in hand enjoying such a fun classic.
I tried to get a good picture of the group of QK employees but the lighting was bad.
What a great day!

Gingerbread parties

Last year the kids had a gingerbread house party with a couple friends and it was so fun!! It has become our new tradition for sure! Each kid gets to pick 3 friends and I get the most adorable small gingerbread houses for them to decorate.  Last year we did both kids and there friends all together and that was the original plan this year but with Crater's cold we switched things around a little.  Aubrey's group came over on Wednesday 12/14 and Carter's group was Friday 12/16.
First up the girls party.  I had so much fun making aprons for the kids this year.  Aubrey invited Violette, Molly and Daliyah.

Since it was tree decorating at the school that day and I was suppose to do it but Carter was home we made his at home while the girls did there houses.  See what I mean about no shirt! This was the party he said he can be shirtless since it's just like a swimming party.
Before the girls decorated they played outside.
Then they went straight to work.  It was cute hearing them laugh and create together.

They came out all adorable and they had so much fun!!
Friday morning we woke up and got ready for round 2.  Carter invited Ander, Cord and Madoxx.  This time a breakfast themed party.
The boys first played while I got all the supplies ready.

They are too cute for words!

They got to play a little outside too while I cleaned up.
These houses are so adorable! Madoxx had already left before I took this picture.
After our party that day we headed over the first ice skating rink in Merced.  Well I should call it plastic skate.  You use ice skates but on plastic it was very interesting but still fun!

The last week of school

The last week of school did not go as planned at all.  Monday was normal and we made lots of snow flakes. But I could tell Carter was getting a little tired.

Tuesday morning he woke up with a 102 temp.  I was so sad for him to miss all Christmas stuff at school.  I had already committed to doing my annual elf job at the school that day.  Deanna came and saved the day and watched Carter so I could go.
Santa (Stan) did a great job.  This year the had a sing a long in the MPR so the kids came to us it was great.

Since Aubrey was sniffling too I just took her home for the afternoon.
Nothing better then a bread bowl when you have a cold.
That night we had the girl scout Christmas party.  I felt so bad that I had to take Carter but Spencer had a meeting so I wrapped carter in the blanket and sat him in the corner.  Aubrey loves this party and looks forward to it every year.  This year we brought our $5 gifts in a stocking.  They have a special reader read The night before Christmas and every time she says a "c" or "s" we pass the gift to the right.  It's a lot of fun.
Wednesday 12/14 I keep my little sickies home for the day to recoup and get better.  Aubrey did have her gingerbread house party that night but I will post about that next.  We also finished the teacher gifts that night.
these were the office gifts.
Since we have ms. buttrey before I had to get creative and think of something new for her.
Thursday 12/15 was the last day of school and Aubrey's Christmas program.  It was adorable.  They sang and played instruments.  I loved every minute.  Aubrey had practiced and practiced so her sniffles were not holding her back.  Carter was still battling a minor fever at this time so Spencer worked from home to be with that day so I could be at the school.  Dad and Carter did make it to the show that day to see Aubrey.

After the show we went back to the class room and had a party.  It was so much fun!

Mrs. Livesay did a musical gift pass that had presents wrapped a bunch of times so all the kids got a turn to unwrap the gifts.

We were excited to have a half day that day and that it was now officially break!!
That night the church had our progressive dinner I volunteered my house for the dessert.  They did cookies and a hot chocolate bar.  It came out cute and I survived having like 35 women in my house at one time!
