Lindsay's Wedding

My mom's best friends daughter, Lindsay got married on Sept. 4th in Aptos. It was Carter's first wedding and he did great. Aubrey had the time of her life dancing on the dance floor it was so hard to get her to leave.

Aubrey loved the pink rose pedals. It reminded us of our niece at our wedding.

Aubrey always seems to find a little boy friend at weddings. This little guy and her danced the night away.

Then we got to stay in a hotel with Nana and Papa.

Summer Fun

We have been very busy having fun the last couple of weeks. Here is what we have been up too.

Aubrey painting EVERYDAY! She is a little artist that loves to paint. Everyday she asks if she can paint.

Deuce is recovering really good. He is acting like nothing ever happened. Carter is getting more interested in him and watching him run around.

My Friends daughter turned 1 so we went to her swim party.

A couple of my friends and I are doing a baby sitting exchange. Aubrey loves to have her friends over Emily and Cayden.

Aunt Pat came to visit us and we took her to Lake Yosemite.

A group of ladies from Church gave my friend Jessica and I a group baby shower. It was so much fun having the babies there. The shower was for Carter and Samuel and there friend Payton came to party with them.

We went to the zoo with Aubrey's best friend Emily. I'm so happy that we found this great family that is just like us. Emily's mom and I get along great, the girls just love each other and when Carter is older he will get to play with Samuel.

It has been an amazing summer and we can't believe it is almost over. We have done so many great things and have loved getting to know Carter and experience all new things with him. We are so excited about the fall and all our fun adventures that are heading our way.

Carter's 4 months

Carter turned 4 months yesterday. He is doing wonderful and is so much fun!

He had his check up on Wednesday and the Doctor is very happy with everything.

Here are his stats:

15lbs. 10oz. 75%

25 inches long 50%

Carter takes 3 naps a day and is sleeping through the night. He usually goes to bed around 10pm and then wakes up between 7 and 7:30. He is cooing a lot more and has a couple almost laughs. He loves to smile and watch his big sister Aubrey and Deuce run around.

Visiting Family

Two weeks ago Aubrey, Carter and I went to the Bay Area to visit family. My grandma just turned 87 and is doing okay but not great. She has Dementia and lives in a retirement home. She has been having some terrible blood clots in her legs which has pretty much made her bed bond for right now so I though it was important to go out and visit her. While out in the bay we got to spend lots of time with my family and do many fun things.

Wednesday we went to Arden Wood with Nana and Titi. It was awesome! You could touch almost all the animals. Aubrey got to pet a cow, horse, pig and some sheep. We saw chickens walk right by us and she feed peacocks while we had lunch. It was so neat seeing her excitement.

That night G'pa read Aubrey a good night story.

On Thursday we went to the park, lunch and shopping but I didn't get any pictures :( Then on Friday we went to Habitot Children's Museum in Berkeley. It was Bug day. Aubrey saw lots of bugs and made a cricket house. She also got to play with all the regular exhibits that she loves there.

It was a very nice trip and fun to be with our family.

Pedicures

The last couple of weeks I have been taking Aubrey out for a girls night out. We went to the farmers market a few weeks back where she picked out this very big bright orange/purple flower hair clip that she loves to wear all the time. On Monday the 16th we went to get pedicures. Aubrey LOVES when I paint her nails so I thought she would really like the nail salon and she did. if you ask Aubrey what her favorite color is she would say pink but when ever she has to pick a color and orange is around she goes straight for the orange. Aubrey's Big Girl Bed

Well we finally did it. We converted Aubrey's crib into her toddler bed Sunday Aug. 15th. Aubrey has always been an excellent sleeper. She started sleeping through the night at only about 1 month. She took two naps all the way until she was about a year and a half and now (or should I say did) takes a long afternoon nap. We didn't really find the need to change her crib, she liked it and never tried climbing out so we just keep it as a crib. The last few weeks we have had a lot of potty accidents so we thought we should make her bed a big girl bed that way if she had to go potty she would open the door and let us know. Well the potty accidents have stopped but now the hard part is keeping her in her room. She does great at bed time we have only had one night in a week that she was screaming and came out and told us there was a "guy" that means something scary. Naps are a little more difficult. I have a baby gate in the door so she stays in there but she opens and closes the door a lot. I sometimes think that we should just change it back but being that she is 2 1/2 I guess it's time for her to be a big girl.
