Duck Pond

Last Thursday Aubrey and I went to Sacramento to visit our friends. That afternoon we went to the duck pond. Aubrey was very interested in the ducks she got a little to close to the water which freaked me out. She keep calling them "Deucie" our dogs name. (All animals are Deuce, Deucie or Deucie Guy to Aubrey)

Organic Blue Berry and Cherry Festival

On Saturday we went with our good friends to the Organic Blue Berry and Cherry Festival in Livingston. We had so much fun picking fruit with the kids and eating it right there. The kids had fun climbing the hay hill, ridding the high ride and getting dirty. We got lots of yummy berries and cherries. I made blue berry pancakes for breakfast this morning.

Wednesday's

For the last three months now I have been taking Aubrey to bouncing baby story time at the public library. She loves being around other kids her age and playing with all the toys. She has meet lots of friends and I have enjoyed talking to other mom's. After story time we usually go and meet daddy for lunch.

Memorial Day Weekend

Three day weekends are the BEST! We love having dada home for three whole days. We had lots of fun hanging together as a family and getting lots done. We took Aubrey to John's Incredible Pizza Co. in Modesto and had a wonderful time. She loved the toddler area and we had fun watching her play.

On Monday my family came out for the day for a BBQ and to hang out. Nana and G'pa got Aubrey this cool sprinkler ball for her to play with in the backyard.

Aubrey had so much fun with Grandpa she was cracking up the whole time she was on his back.

We had a very fun weekend doing lots of fun stuff and Spencer even had time to finished the pergola and it came out BEAUTIFUL! We can't wait to have summer dinners and parties under it. I love it!

Our Pergola

Spencer is building me a pergola and I'm so so so happy! I have wanted a pergola over our patio since we moved to our house back in 2007. We got our wood delivered on Friday and Spencer went right to work. He took that afternoon off and put all 6 posts up. He woke up early Saturday morning and worked very hard putting up the frame. He took a break to see the first lady and then went right back to work. It was a very hot weekend here in the 100's so I'm so impressed with all that he got done on Saturday. He only has the two middle supports to put up and all the 2x2's and then we will have a beautiful pergola. I'm always so impressed by all the things my hubby can do.

The First Lady

On Saturday The First Lady Michelle Obama came to Merced to be the keynote speaker at the UC Merced Commencement Ceremony. Her aircraft landed at my work and I got to be there to see her, I was VERY excited. Spencer and Aubrey also had a chance to see her from my office.

Fairytale Town

While in Sacramento we went to Fairytale Land. It was a very cute little park and Aubrey enjoyed walking around checking everything out.
