Last week of College for kids

July 17th-21st was the last week of the kids classes at College for Kids.  Carter finished his dinosaur class and Aubrey had fun decorating more VERY cute cupcakes we also had some other fun stuff happen that week.

Monday 7/17 was flower cupcake day...

Carter was proud of his new paddling boarding shirt and wore it for 5 days straight! The perks of having Carter's paddle board instructor as a neighbor means we can get new shirts and sweat shirts all the time. 

 Also on Monday was a good bye girls night out for my friend Kim.  Aubrey has gotten really close with her daughter, Eve and was sad to say good bye.  I'm glad we decided to bring them to the girls night out that night.  I can hardly believe Aubrey is big enough to ride in the front seat now!

 Tuesday 7/18 was holiday cupcakes...

Cinco De Mayo (the kids really wanted to make a taco cupcake), Halloween and Christmas.

This teacher was so creative!

On our way home we saw a cow on the opposite side of the fence haha!

 That night Aubrey was invited to a BBQ with Kendall's family and Spencer had a meeting so Carter and I had a date night.  His pick was Taco Bell and then we rented a movie from RedBox.

 What a gentleman to get the food for us!

 Wednesday was mud day.  How cute is this pig in the mud?!?...

Thursday 7/20 was the last day of class.  Carter got to bring home his volcano and a really cool wave experiment he made.  He also got to watch Jurassic Park in class.  He LOVED it!

 It was free for all in cupcake class that day.  Aubrey made a unicorn, cookies n cream and a small garden.

That night Carter and I took a nice long bike ride together.

 We actually made it all the way to Raley's and got a treat.

 Friday 7/21 I baby sit my friend Mary's kids while she was at work.  Carter was thrilled to have his bestie Ander over! Aubrey was a little annoyed to have a boy her age in her space, lol! 

 But she soon got over it as soon as I planned a spur of the moment Descendants 2 premiere party at our house!

Aubrey was counting down the days for this movie to come out and I thought what the heck invite some friends over for pizza, a movie and sleep over.  We had fun looking through all the party supplies to find purple and black stuff.  We went and got some fun treats and a cool new shirt.

 and then they were glued!

 for about half the movie and then it turned into BeanBoozled

 and headbands.

 and then they crashed! 

 That morning they had purple pancakes for breakfast 

That weekend I got us all ready for Camp Phoenix Lake at Nana and Papa's.  I love the shirts I made this year.

What a week! That weekend we rested up for Camp the next week!

The California State Fair

We are so excited to have our aunts in Sacramento there are so many fun things to do!! We all decided that the State fair would be fun so our family of four and Titi went up to Sacramento for a long 3 day weekend.

We got there on Thursday July 13th.  It was fun hanging out and watching movies that night but first thing first the kids went straight to the pool for some night swimming.

Friday July 14th Spencer had a job in Lodi he had to go observe and Shelly had to work so the kids, Titi, Auntie and I went to Roseville for some shopping and Cheese Cake Factory.

 That afternoon it was back to the pool!!

 That night we had a BBQ enjoyed sundaes and watched Pee Wee Herman (a tradition!)

 Saturday July 15th was fair day! Titi and Auntie made cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

 Spencer and I snuck a way for a gym date.

Then it was off to the fair.  It was HOT 105 that day! We planned our day to do the inside stuff first and waited for the sun to go down to do the outside stuff.

 It was really cool to see a real bald eagle.  This eagle was unfortunately shot and can not fly but he is being taken care off and gets to go to schools so kids can learn about them.

 The dinosaur exhibits were amazing!

 A lady stopped us to try the wand to curl our hair.  It actually worked on Aubrey's hair! I can never curl her hair I thought it was just impossible but sure enough this wand works so we had to get it!

The aunts sure know how to spoil these kids!!

 I probably would have never done this even though Carter wanted one so bad! Aunt Shelly is so sweet! 

 My dinner was amazing! 

Carter had a hot dog almost as tall as him and Aubrey and daddy had huge hamburgers.

Aunt Pat was chosen for the hypnotize show.  She was out!

 And she even danced!

Oh we also got some fun hair chalk that Aubrey loves!!

 It was cooling down so we did the monorail ride.

 Then it was finally ride and game time.  It was a hard part of the day for sure.  The kids had been so patient to wait until the end of the day but the games were so expensive for such a small toy and most times no toy at all.  Plus I am the biggest worry wort when it comes to the rides at a fair! I do not trust those things.  The fair had a program were if you read two books and wrote about them you could get two free rides.  Aubrey took it very seriously and read 5 books and wrote reports about them.  We turned in their papers and got the free rides but with me freaking them out they were not that excited.  I felt bad to rain on their parade but I only allowed close to the ground rides.  They did do one roller coaster that I almost had a heart attack watching.  Sure enough they did too so they were done with rides as much as I was done watching.

 That night we went back to their house and had a really late night swim.  We slept in the next morning and then came home it was a wonderful trip!
